That's a gross misrepresentation. Those targeted advertisements, a.k.a. Adsense, are done automatically by the Gmail software. Imagine how inefficient it would be if Google employees read your emails and posted the ads themselves! Aside from the 1GB storage and Adsense, Gmail is no different from Yahoo mail or Hotmail. It's just as likely to be read, probed, stored, cross linked, and used to cultivate data stores as any of those other email services. Yes, it is scanned by computer software, but if you don't want your email scanned by computer software I believe you're going to have to look long and hard for an email service that doesn't use software.
Is Ridge Racer like Gran Turismo? Because Ridge Racer DS has been announced. How about Madden? I'm sure EA, with their multiconsoleness, will port this to the PSP, and it's already out on the DS.
Don't assume that Nintendo haven't learned their lesson. The DS isn't a Pokemon system - they haven't even released a Pokemon game for it yet. The DS is supposed to appeal to the adult market just as much as the PSP is. We'll just have to see how well it does.
Linux has encountered difficulty in the commercial sector due to its lack of uniform standards across distributions, or even within one distribution. Is Ubuntu going to help change that, and if so, how?
The paper had a quote in it from ESR that said something to the effect of "Linus started with Minix code and gradually turned it into Linux, so no Minix code was left." It may be wrong, we were merely discussing the paper's claims.
Frankly, Nintendo probably would have disappeared a few years ago without the GameBoy. And there's no doubt that Nintendo is only a fraction as powerful as it was when the GameBoy was released - back then, the NES was the top selling games system in the world.
Yeah, uh... what exactly are you talking about? Nintendo lost a lot of market share in the N64 era but remained profitable throughout... and would have even without the Game Boy. The N64 sold enough in the US to support the entire company, factoring in that there would have been no handheld division to keep afloat. Nintendo was, and remains, a very conservative company and it doesn't sell its products at a loss, unlike Microsoft, for example, which sells the XBOX hardware at a loss to provoke sales of software.
Yes, you're right, Nintendo is not nearly as powerful as it was in the NES era, but ever since it lost the power it commanded through the 80's and early 90's, the possibility of pulling a Sega and becoming merely a software company has lurked under the surface. And it's never seriously been considered. Even now Nintendo makes a sizeable profit from the GameCube.
I was showing the letter to my father, a corporate attorney, and he remarked that it was odd that there was no letterhead on this letter. Does the firm responsible want to hide under anonymity so this doesn't hurt them?
The New York Times Magazine a little while ago had a slightly more insightful article which also interviewed the dreadlocked guy and Phil3t0aster and stuff, additionally taking a peek into the culture of virus writers and script kiddies. I don't know if they put their magazine stuff online, but it was a good article.
Yeah, and there were also a lot of magazine ads that said "Touching is good."

With spelling like that, it'll be a privledge to not read yours, either.

Actually, the Virtual Boy came out before the N64.

The top 9 results are all in Chinese... the last result on the top page is Google UK, followed by pages and pages of more Chinese stuff.
Search Google for "Accoona." It's the top result.

Andrew here, from Facade Computer, the radio case mod folks. Thanks for the mention!
Between 500-600 on your average day, though the record is 800 something.
I set it up on a client's website and make between $4-9 a day (50% of which is mine), which is pretty decent, I think.
How about this?

Oh, it shall be published, whether by Ken Brown or not. I'm sure someone will leak it.
Cynicism Personified got a hold of a pre-release copy of it, and we posted some similar editorial.
It has now merged with G4, to become some sort of evil warped mixture creation. http://www.g4techtv.com/
Tell me, does this make sense to you: "He gave I a free adjustment." Well then, you should say "He gave me and my wife a free adjustment."
Almost makes me want to fly to Egypt to attend one of these InstallFests.

Yeah, well I dislike European behavior on the spelling stage, specifically in Kyoto.
That looked pretty humanoid to me, but maybe not enough for Sony.
Well, actually it doesn't. I had a cached version. Sorry.
It looks fine to me, weirdly.
