If you read Knuth's Selected Papers on Computer Science, you'll see he argues that algorithmic thinking is fundamentally a non-mathematician way of viewing problems.
And besides, as other people have stated, Software Engineering is just a subset of Computer Science.
That musician may have been flown in for 2 hours from the other side of the globe at huge cost. A brief audio glitch is simply not an option.
Nice FUD there.
How does one determine what the equivelent hybrid/electric MPG is? I can think of two ways of comparing it to gasoline, but both of them are variable (cost and power), so I don't see how you could get a meaningful comparison.
It should be easier to get the source to highly customized software. I mean, what's going to happen if I download the robot garage software? I'm not about to start competing with them.
You would think the major cost would be building the actual garage. Not writing the software to run it.
Actually, the reason Ruby's migrations (which is what you're talking about) doesn't support foreign keys is *because* not all databases support them. If they were just looking at MySQL, they would have been thrown in as well.
The first edition of Agile Web Development with Rails didn't use migrations, but added the tables by manually and used foreign keys in the examples.
I blame the overpaid CEOs. For just a small reduction in their rediculous saleries, they could avoid overseas outsourcing and kept technology jobs here, which is one of the best ways of reinvesting in technology.
Sounds like an urban legend. I once had a highschool physics teacher prepare us for college by telling the story of the girl who wakes up to find her roommate murdered and written in lipstick on the mirror "good thing you didn't turn on the lights".

yes :(
"you FOOL." LOL. You talk like that in real life?
The incentive, in this case, is the iPhone.
Also check out 99 bottles of beer and Hello World Collection.

What scripting? Ardour doesn't have scripting.
I *want* people to upgrade to IE7. I don't care if they're using IE7 or Firefox. I just want to be able to write sane CSS.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Wtf?

False negatives don't imply false positives.

This isn't the end of the darwinports project. That project was just hosted on the opendarwin servers.
Rails supports multiple databases.

I hope this wouldn't mean that Pixar movies would start to suck like Disney and Dreamworks movies.
The US does have problems. But that doesn't mean that China is a-okay with censoring discussion of forms of government.
Who the hell are you to defend such a practice?
I do all that stuff that makes him feel old, and I still feel old compared to teenage girls who *use* that shit.
Although really. Comparing yourself against younger people will, by definition, make you feel older.
Could someone tell me who the hell methlabs.org and PeerGuardian are? I've never heard of them before.

Hahaha! Maybe it should be.

Thanks, teach!
Man, that must have been a sucky job. Each week, getting another crate of puppies to kill and then unsuccessfully attempt to revive.
Why would the ISS have windows that open??
Apple already has a whitelist. They host third party widgets.
