Then make the minimum wage a living wage. Except that'll never happen because to get back to 1968's buying power for those on minimum wage you'll need to set it to at least $15 per hour - more like $25.
Where the hell do you live? $25 an hour? Greedy cunt. Entry level IT guys don't make that (hell, they are lucky if they make $15!), and they have SOME skills. Burger flippers are a dime a dozen and worth FAR less than the $7+ an hour they are making now. Minimum wage is NOT MEANT to be a living wage! You are supposed to better yourself and MOVE ON from minimum wage. Jeebus... what are they teaching you kids these days?
Didn't Replay TV get sued out of existence a few years ago for attempting this very same thing? It was a sad day when I had to give up my RPTV 4000 series boxes (the last ones built with "Commercial Advance").

You're right...not all investments make money (And I do not consistently get 1000% returns... but that would be OH so nice!) . But I have a vested interest in my investments... 401k managers do not. The point is to take your time, do your research (Slashdot has more than a few smart people as contributors and posters) and be invested in your investments!
I am a Hundred-thousand-aire, not a multi-millionaire.:-)
You both suck at investing... My Apple APR $550 calls were just sold (two weeks ago) for more than a 1000% gain.. in ONE month.10k into 100k in ONE month. My DEC calls should return the same once the fanboys buy into the iPhone 5 later this year... You gotta do your own investing. Don't rely on the funds to do it for you! (BTW, you could have bought 1/10th the number I did for about $1000 and made the same % return).
How much do you pay your dedicated anti-spam guy? He hasn't been able to prevent the spam from getting to your Inbox, or the false positives from getting caught. First thing I'd do is fire him and replace him with a nice appliance =)
One word: Proofpoint.
We spent about $50K on these boxes (cluster) and our spam levels have gone to %0.0001. There is maybe one false positive a year. We have 5000 users connected to the system. Spend the money, fire your spam guy and enjoy email again.
I don't dislike paying taxes. In fact, I LOVE new bridges, roads, schools for my (non-existent) kids, etc... What I DO dislike is fucktards who spend my tax money poorly! Don't keep increasing my fucking taxes... instead learn to live within a budget. Quit sending the school principal to a goddamn excursion in Vegas every year! Quit funding studies on the mating habits of the duck-billed, six-legged purple swamp skink! I don't want new gubment programs that are managed by 100 bureaucrats... run these programs like a small business! There is NO accountability in government spending!
Or, I'll call on my government to expand domestic drilling, call on industry to find alternatives, invest in companies that are already pursuing alternative fuels, or all of the above.
Here is why we are crying: I live in Houston... Public transportation is spotty at best (I live near a Metro station, but if I were to take the bus to work it would take me over 4 hours to get here). Walking anywhere is out of the question due to the way the city was conceived and built (and humidity and temperature). I have to drive 25 miles one way to work. Petrol and tolls cost me well over $300 per month. This is significantly higher than it was this time last year. My income has risen exactly $0 since that time. In fact my income has actually FALLEN due to higher food and energy prices (electricity, natural gas, etc...). So yeah, I'll keep whining until petrol drops back to $2 per gallon.
I actually lived in the UK for 6 months and was able to tolerate the $10 per gallon petrol... due to the fact that I could walk to ASDA, walk to the pub, and my commute to work was only 1.1 miles. $10 a gallon petrol doesn't translate very well in the US.

While satellite has LIMITED censorship I would not go so far as to say it has NO censorship. O&A were suspended for a month a while back when one of their homeless guests went on a rant about raping Laura Bush... The bit was funny in a sick kind of way, but when O&A basically refused to apologize they were suspended... as punishment even re-runs of their show were not played. As a 5+ year subscriber to XM I was appalled. While the bit was tasteless and disturbing to some I did not expect this level of censorship on satellite radio. It's only going to get worse... Reverend Al will get a subscription and then all hell will break loose.
After years of using a Thinkpad and begging my company for a new one after using my personal laptop for work (instead of using a company issued Dell). I've found that people either LOVE Thinkpads or loathe them... I would sooner switch to a Mac than migrate to a Dell laptop... but that's just me. Everyone else I work with makes fun of my small nearly indestructible Thinkpad:-) . When the useful life of this laptop is up I plan to buy it from the company and continue to use it. *shrug* never considered myself a fan boi until reading this post:-)

I bought and used a "Brain Mouse" back in '97. The ISP I worked for in College bought one from CES that year. It worked great, but just kind of fell off the map...
Hmmm....
I currently run Firefox in SVS (Altiris) (Along with the suggestions above). Basically Firefox runs in it's own virtual layer on the machine with no access to the "real" OS. I can run multiple instances to allow for different security settings. It's nice because I don't have to actually boot a VM just to surf the web safely.

I use my phone to call people... sorry, I don't buy into all of the extra "services" designed to get me at $0.10 here and $1.00 there..
So, Cingular/AT&T works fine for me...
I am a network adminstrator for a fairly large company (3500+ users). We REALLY do try to strike a careful balance between what is blocked and what is allowed. We don't allow access to Pornographic sites, Web-Based email or Chat(Instant Message... most forums are allowed) sites... however most everything else is allowed. All downloads are virus scanned at the perimeter, and our users don't seem to mind seeing the "THIS SITE IS BLOCKED" page because they generally understand that we only block things that might harm the user's PC (spyware/virus)or the company (sexual harrasment suit, defamation etc...).
Those who do complain usually come back from visiting a client site (top 5 oil companies) and remark how OPEN we are compared the them =)
We can view any SSL traffic leaving or entering our network... been doing it for over a year: http://bluecoat.com/
We just tell the filter which traffic to allow, and which to prevent (based on our Corporate security policy).
If the telcos are so worried about big sites not paying their fair share, why don't they just raise bandwidth rates? This is a free market after all. If I were company X and ATT raised my bandwidth rates, I'd shop around... If i couldn't find a better rate, i'd be stuck... kinda like buying gas:)
I bought 4 years up front... and yes, they will pro-rate a refund if I decide to cancel. I also purchased 1 year of the XM TRAFFIC_NAV that shows traffic conditions in REAL TIME on my nav unit... I don't see terrestrial radio doing THAT:)
With all of the debate about sound quality etc... I just have to say that that quality of my XM is good, but the content is GREAT! There is ALWAYS something on! I get alerted whenever the Astros are playing, I can set 'favorites' so that when a song I like comes on ANY channel it will alert me etc...
Content on terrestrial radio just plain STINKS... the DJ's suck, the same song gets played 40 - 50 times a day, traffic news is almost always 20 minutes stale, and I only have a handful of choices (And I'm in HOUSTON!!! I wonder what it's like in B.F.E., USA?).
I'm a person who said he'd NEVER pay for content when so much was already free... I had XM in a rental car for one day and I bought my unit the next week:)
Then make the minimum wage a living wage. Except that'll never happen because to get back to 1968's buying power for those on minimum wage you'll need to set it to at least $15 per hour - more like $25.

I'm with you.. "Remote Access Software" means nothing to me... Does any one have any specifics?
Methinks you know little about the subject you are speaking on. Church of Christ has no such belief. Thanks for the FUD... please drive through.

There is an easy fix for this in Gmail. You'll need to create a new filter like the following
Matches: is:spam
Do this: Skip Inbox, Delete it

Juice is a community site. Google Altiris SVS for better information.
