Coppola produces his wines right in the middle of the Napa Valley (unless he buys his grapes from somewhere else like most "Napa" producers).
On the other hand I never bought the whole "terroir" thing. With the recent advances in wine making (and even some old fashioned blending) it is possible to get good wines even without the best soil or climate.
I have been playing Basebal Mogul Online for about 3 years now. The price has stayed the same ($5 per month for one team). It only requires a browser to play and there are no updates client side.
You can play it on a 56K connection and don't need the latest graphics card.
There are never any guarantees but I think in a way small gaming comanies are much less likely to screw you over or get closed down by the parent company. The only risk is that they might run out of money but that is the case with any game.
I don't think this is a uniquely western problem. I have several Indian and Asian friends and the pressure to become a doctor is even higher there.
Heck a friend of mine has a PhD and works as a clinical psychologist yet his Indian parents still lament about how he should have become a "Real Doctor".
You mean the same way they try to hook boys? "Hey this game is retarded but has chicks in bikinis!"
It's not condescending it's knowing your target market:)
Entirely different situations. If you run an insecure OS you should patch your system, run a firewall, an anti-virus and don't fucking click on on.exe attachment.
Clueless users do make the internet a shitty place.
Just play a ton of mods (Half-Life and the forementioned NWN for example). You end up with a pretty good idea what works and what does not.
Whatever you decide to design start with pen and paper and a good idea first. Pointless mods that merely throw a bunch of monsters at you feel pointless.
Check out some classic mods for Half Life like They Hunger for HL.
Yes but you can't argue with their amazing hard work and determination when it comes to investigative journalism. I mean finding an attractive British female for every issue is simply astounding.
I had the pleasure of riding in a Trabant. One interesting tidbit: you could actually kick a hole through the body (it was made out of compressed cardboard sandwitched between two layers of plastic).
I can definitely see SCO come back with a lawsuit. "The members of the United Linux group learned our trade secrets then pulled out. We are suing for $10 billion!"
couldn't the other group members have kicked them out?"
That would depend on the agreements they had signed. It might have just been easier for everyone else to pull out and just reform a different group at a later time.
For GPA purposes it counts as 0 points earned (same as an F). Once you take the class over you replace the 0 points with whatever you earned the second timr around.
Still very appropriate.
My school does this too. The e-mails are name@subdomain.foo.edu
Each subdomain stands for the different subdivisions of the school. gs for the grad school sn for the nursing school etc.
They have been doing this since the mid nineties.

Did you miss the part where Munich turned down a sweetened offer from microsoft?
In a way I would welcome this. It may just provide enough of a public outcry that it will prompt real health system reform.

Invite all my bitchez over and tap them azzes off course. Isn't that what every kernel hacker does?
Thank goodness for smoking breaks. It's great for my cardiovascular system! Oh wait....Nevermind.
I tried that but getting the laser to read through the shink wrap was a bit of a pain.
And that's a bad thing????? Oh the money I'd pay....

I have to second Bejeweled. I think it's the closest to electronic crack I have ever witnessed. :)
Plus chicks love it: It has Jewels!!!
Bruce Perens, a Linux cheerleader and open-source advocate
The thought of Bruce in a short skirt and waving pompoms just made me shudder. "Give me an L!"
Ahhhhh Noooo
They are based in the Jersey Islands which is not part of the UK. I think they could have won in court but figured it was not worth the legal costs.
I have always been partial to electrical shocks delivered to the gonads but hey we all have our favorite tools.
Pics plz? Thanks :)

I thought an Incomplete actually counted as an F.
I think the appropriate grade for this would be an IP (in progress).
