Even better: I use a Grace wifi radio with a remote control, so my computer and phone are free to do what computers and phones do best. Most of what I listen to is talk radio (and some sports) so the quality of the stream is not something I notice. For music I use the big Yamaha system with real speakers, not tiny crappy speakers.
Maybe, maybe not. I had appendicitis way back in 1980 and was treated in the hospital for week with antibiotics. The treatment worked and now, all these years later, I'm perfectly okay. The doctor did not choose that method of treatment based on money - I had very good insurance and could have had any method of treatment including surgery. I just had a very smart doctor.
Don't paint all doctors with such a broad brush. They're not all money-hungry.
In my state they'll actually go to where you live to give you a free photo ID, but I guess asking people to call to have someone come to their home is asking for too much effort.
People have to show an ID to sign up for welfare, but not to vote. What a country!
Also, depending on your service, you may or may not even have a signal when you're driving. There are still vast areas out there with little to no cell service.
I have SiriusXM, but I practically live in my vehicle. I don't think it would be the right choice if you're not in your vehicle all the time.
I had one item stolen from a package back in January. The postal worker simply cut the Amazon tape on the bottom of the box, took one of the two items, and then sealed the box with clear packing tape. They delivered the package the next day as if nothing had happened.
I complained to the post office, but I never found out what happened to the employee. My guess is nothing happened. Amazon was great about refunding my money. I wonder how many times that has happened and how much money Amazon loses every year.
The number of people who watch the Emmys is going down every year. This year's show had the lowest viewership in history, 10.2 million viewers out of a population of over 300 million. So, when you ask who watches this shit, the answer is practically nobody.
Eventually the country with the stronger economy wins the war of tariffs. The US economy is quite strong now and China's is fairly weak. They need to sell their crap to the US way more than we need to buy it. It may be not be politically popular (that's why no politician before Trump has even thought about imposing tariffs on China), but Trump is not a politician. We'll win; just give it time.
I am a boomer and I nearly always cook at home . . . . when I'm there. Right now home is about 300 miles north and I'm eating a microwave meal in a motel room. That's why I cook at home. I crave home cooking when I'm out of town.
One of the best cooks I've ever known in my life was my dear grandmother (1906 - 1996), and she never, ever looked at a recipe and she never measured anything. I guess when you've cooked tens of thousands of meals it kinda becomes a real skill.
The day is nearly over now so these numbers are accurate for today. I've received 3 calls today on my cell phone - 1 from my office (I answered it), 1 from my girlfriend (I answered it), and 1 from a telemarketer that AT&T warned me about (I didn't answer it of course).
AT&T has gotten pretty good at detecting calls from telemarketers and giving me a warning. If they miss one, that's fine - I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize anyway. I also use an online service (youmail) for voicemail and have an option to ditch numbers. If a telemarketer leaves a message, they get ditched. Ditched numbers hear an outgoing message saying they've reached a number no longer in service and then they aren't allowed to leave a message.
The real question is, who is going to fact-check the fact checkers? Does anybody on either side really trust Facebook? They've proven that they're biased and greedy. What else are they guilty of that we don't know yet?
Wouldn't that include everything related to the EU? From my perspective, they are pretty extreme, and they seem to think they can rule the whole fucking world from their tiny continent.
Best bet is to just cut them off from the internet and the civilized world. Don't make us come over there . . . . . AGAIN!
Windows? Samsung, how could you?
It's still bad grammar, something way too common on slashdot. The lack of education in this country is appalling.

Bingo! We have a winner!
There are way too many people out there who would sell their soul (or freedom) for a freebie.
Listen, loud and clear - nothing is free . . . . except salvation, and too few are interested in that.
Bullshit! Every state that requires a photo ID has a method to GIVE you one and even come to your house to GIVE you one.
The rest of your comment was unworthy of a reply.

Call Zuck back in to testify under oath. Lying under oath to a Congressional committee can be punished with jail time.
Yeah, not to mention those of us who have synesthesia!
Look that one up if you have to.

Stupid criminals steal GPS trackers.
Smart criminals run for office.
Censoring one side over the other can also be considered a contribution in kind to the favored side.

Then you have to do the experiment 9 times!

Do you talk like you type? You sound like a waiter at a Chinese restaurant.
I would PAY for a browser like that. I want one that just works, respects my privacy, and can be customized the way I like it.

As crazy as it sounds, that's exactly what I thought the first time I read the headline.

Do you even know what a merkin is? Google it and be surprised. And look at the images!
