I don't know about Chris Gould, but CoyboyNeal has a wife. Which just goes to show... that there must be some other reason why the ladies aren't all over me.
Yes, 21 is pretty early. Not too young, but since you apparently spent little if any time between college and parenthood, you didn't get to experience what would otherwise occur in the interim. Although I'm sure there's some plusses to skipping the whole childless adult stage of life, so I wouldn't say you did "wrong." Not my cup of tea, though.
As far as I can tell, this is a purely upstream connection; if you want to get stuff down to the brain you're still gonna have to use the built in interfaces. (Eyes, nose, ears...)
Information is different, because it is not inherently scarce. Any scarcity it possesses is artificially imposed by the government in an attempt to ensure the profitablility of the creation of new ideas. However, you must remember to balance the benefits of the profability with the costs of this artificial scarcity.
A Gigabyte is not an SI unit, and it uses the "Giga" prefix in a non-standard way. A Gibibyte is equal in value to a Gigabyte, but has a different name so that it obeys the SI standards.
Firstly, that's debatable. Unauthorized use is different from theft.
But more importantly, just because a word is true doesn't mean it's unbiased. If an article on abortion called the doctors "Womb suckers," it would be biased. Not because it's untrue, but because it's emotionally charged.
Most of the charm of an Apple I probably comes from the warm fuzzies of having something of which only 30-50 exist. When you make your own, that kind of defeats the purpose. Seems kind of a silly thing to care about though.
There are people who have made Apple I replicas, although for practical reasons they don't use the same exact chips, which probably lowers the "warm fuzzies" even more.
And to be a stickler, Woz was the one giving them out. Besides the fact that he was the one who actually designed the thing, Jobs doesn't seem like the kind of guy to give out schematics.
Depends on what you mean by "center," I suppose. I suppose Graham would argue the center of the Boom.
Graham's argument would be that the core of the Bubble is "The Internet is going to fucking change everything." Which has a definite amount of validity to it.
I imagine you would argue that the core of the bubble was "The Internet means profit is for losers." Which is of course silly.
Taken from Douglas Adams' unfinished Novel/compilation of essays: "Salmon of Doubt."
The MPAA organizes the Rating System, and the RIAA awards whether an album goes Gold or Platinum. They also do a lot of lobbying.
Or perhaps...
No wait, never mind. CmdrTaco is the one with a wife. I have no idea what CoyboyNeal's marital status is.

Real Life, eh?

Probably, but any such company which gave its customers "Hiro Protagonist" would be immediately destroyed.

That's because CPU is not a valid combination of morphemes. FAQ is.
Although I'll admit that SCSI caught me off gaurd.
But what about Beach Volleyball?
Can't it be both?
You are your brain. When you suck, it means your brain sucks. When a part of your body is faulty, it's sometimes classified as a disease.
No... "Old World" and "New World" have absolutely no connection to the phrase "Third World."
Fourteen years ago? WTF? There wasn't even a World Wide Web in 1990.
What you're proposing is a modified version of Range Voting, which has its proponents.
The person who is would win a one-on-one vote against for every other candidate wins, if such a person exists.
Actually, this floorplan does kinda look like a Hobbit hole, what with the whole circular setup.

IP is not the only way for society to reward creativity. It is just the best one we've thought of so far.
