So when will this problem actually get noticed by the american public or world public at large? The clues have been mounting since the 60's. Things like using off-shore holding companies to avoid legal and tax issues have been common business practices for too long. When will people look to straightening up all the obfuscated legal detritus clogging our ability to innovate? Whay are we stuck making laws about the laws about the laws about the laws about when the DMCA is applicable? Man I sure hope 'the revolution' gets here soon cause William Shakespeare was pretty on the mark and it seems like noone is listening.

I agree that your password wasn't weak to brute force cracking... but using Bank One online banking before 2002 was a really bad idea... see that webpage that you logged into left a cookie on your machine. And you were like gee thanks for the cookie but then you realized that if you looked inside that cookie you could see your login/password unencrypted as well as some other pertinent account information, again unencrypted. It was one of the biggest security blunders I have ever seen. I still wonder how that was never made into a big deal by the users or the media.

Include Quake and Unreal Tournament and Half-Life Counter Strike. They are interesting for a short bit. But that bit ends and I'm still looking for a good online game that will keep my interest for more than a week. Tabletop wargaming was awesome but I doubt I will ever get to play unless I go to GENCON. Thats sad...

I totally agree with you about gameplay being king. Especially in the current favorites of online RTS's,FPS's,and RPG's. If there is lag I won't keep playing, but if the gameplay devolves to become formulaic killing of opponents then the gamer will eventually seek out the game that allows his actions to affect the larger game world in concert with other to make a grand statement. I think I'm rambling so I'll stop after this... Gameplay is essential to any game, Solid Network code is essential to any online game, Great Stories are what will get me to trudge once more into the breach.
