So is a casino. But a libertarian doesn't normally oppose them either as long as both are not run by governments, or compulsory. See-- that's the key. FREE MARKET.
The ability for two people of the same sex to marry has never been recognized as a natural right. It's just that simple, and your rhetoric doesn't change that. Of course, in the USA (unlike in the UK) we recognize that the rights not held by the federal government belong to the States or the people.* That's why an amendment would have to be made to the US Constitution to define marriage. As it is, right now that definition is made at the state and local levels. We may be a republic and not a direct democracy (fortunately), but yes, here we believe in having occasional referendums on things that ordinary people might be concerned about rather than ridiculing, abusing, or imprisoning them for having an unpopular view. And no, we don't include the world in our decisions. How does it harm you who is married here? I don't care much for the neofascist thinking that demands we kow-tow to a One World Government.
* Of course, the progressives disagree and think it's the other way around.
Would you feel the same about two brothers marrying? A brother and a sister? A mother and a son? A healthy person marrying someone in a coma? A ten year old boy marrying a 30 year old man or woman?
I guess you never saw the Alero or Bravada, then. You're literally thinking of "your father's Oldsmobile". I have an Alero GLS coupe and I assure you it's far less dowdy than a Civic.
No, people will have trouble using their cell phones in the car... ever. So when they get stuck in the snow, they'll have to step out into a blizzard. Or if they've been in an accident in a remote area and can't get out, they'll just have to slowly bleed or starve to death.
That's a false dilemma. The other choice is that church was a fallen one. Frankly, in scripture it says that everyone is responsible for his own sin (although one's sin can hurt other people) so the church was clearly acting in the wrong.
Yes, you are correct, damn us all to hell for not being able to name the most easily replaced subsitute leader in the world that (read slowley now) NOBODY FUCKING VOTED FOR, a man that did not have or need a political campaign and if my memory serves was picked at the last minute.
... and who is a heartbeat away from the presidency.
We spend about as much per year on Medicare. Defense is part of the powers delegated to Congress in the Constitution. Health care is not. At least with defense, the government is spending money on what it's supposed to spend it on.
So, were you guys most proud during the "sorry hostages, we crashed the rescue helicopter" administration or the "I did not have sex with that woman" administration?
No, the south has the most babies born to teens. Up north, abortions are more common. South Carolina may be an exception; teen pregnancy is simply out of control down there.
You're right. A lot of the people who lament their bad luck in the ways you listed forget all the other times they were doing the wrong thing and "got lucky" that it worked out. They just ran out of "good luck".
You mean the first few years of LBJ's "War on Poverty"? When poverty got worse, and taxes were horribly high and unfair? I'd prefer going back to before 1913.
And September goes on...

The loss of liberty is worse than any disease.

I hope the nanny-state bans radio use in planes, too!
Yes there is. It's probably too short.

Shareholders are stakeholders. And stakeholders can become shareholders.

What the hell does that mean? Is Fox News cloning Kennedys so that they have an unending supply to report on?

Why buy a new car, when you can just make your "pinto" bigger with C1AL15!

Cigarette breaks? Ridiculous. With the new Obama tax on tobacco, they're too expensive on the average astronaut's salary.
Shut up, Wesley!

$666, if I recall correctly!
This.

They're photoshopped, too.
