    I'd say many of the early shows didn't bother to set up proper controls, but they have improved and I think that the claim they "piss on the scientific method" is a bit unwarranted.

    That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

    Is berating people who disagree with you over things we have little control over what the master wants? I don't know whether global "climate change" is being caused by my actions, but I do know many other wrong things that I must change before the master returns.

    I'm worried about cancer-- just not cancer from a nuclear power plant that affects me less than a dental x-ray.
    I live near the same plant, and I couldn't be prouder that I obtain my power through technologically sound, clean, and efficient means. Count me as moron #2.

    Besides suing the right party, you need to determine either malicious intent or simple negligence. Next, you also need to be able to prove that fossil fuels actually caused the temperature change in Alaska. All flaming aside, you can't blame weather changes everywhere on greenhouse gases when we know that the Earth goes through weather cycles.

    That's why almost a decade into the 21st Century, we still have people who believe such things as the universe being created in 6 days
    Considering that no one "knows" how the universe was created, a duration of six days is just about as good as any other. When the "big bang" theory was in vogue, I read lots of time lines where the universe expanded from a geometric point to billions of light-years across in mere seconds.

    Yes, tricky in that it's a perfect example of a violation. If the item they take is not illegal to possess, then it's an unlawful seizure.

    That's what we need: more government programs. Necessarily, since the government is providing "free" antivirus, 100% compliance by the subj... I mean citizens will be required-- just like universal health care. If you're running an OS unsupported by the socialized antivirus, you'll have to switch to a supported one "for your own safety".

    Is a text file containing a single line of text followed by a carriage return a program? How about the standard input device? When I type at the console keyboard, is that a program feeding into a "virtual machine" created by the console driver? If not, why is a disk device different from another device?
