This is an ask slashdot template: "I have a problem, can the slashdot collective help me?". This is stupidity: "Is Gnome better than KDE? What's your opinion?"
Now I use linux (I sell it as a matter of fact), but saying that itunes is a low quality application is ridiculous. It is a brilliantly done piece of software and the only thing remotely close to it (and that is pretty far away) is amarok. Nothing comes close to the efficiency of design and speed of itunes.
Your whole post is ignorant, actually. Your "arguments" drive people away from Linux...
Your lack of understanding on how businesses work and what investors considered important, paired to your will to voice your opinions in an authoritative way astonishes me.
I mean I know slashdot has been getting worse but can we please maintain a basic level in the editorialising of the articles posting? This is becoming amazingly annoying.
My monitor is a 23'' LG2320, with a native resolution of 1900x1200. I play WoW and Guild Wars at that resolution with excellent results with my 128Mb 6600GT.
Oh come on now, you come here with your 4-line gentoo pimping sig, you have four links to gentoo on your posts and you act hurt when someone takes you up to your obvious spamming?
But no, you have to reply and act all hurt. That is even worse and in my eyes makes you a hypocrite.
Can I just say that your amazingly patronising post, paired to your sig pointing to your official capacity as a gentoo spokesperson is one of the reasons I will NEVER EVER even consider installing gentoo. This ceaseless gentoo trolling and hidden RTFM attitude is frankly infuriating.
That's because you run Wow on a reasonably fast computer. I sometimes play WoW on my powerbook and let me tell you, transitions to places like Ironforge are brutal. Instead of taking 5 seconds to load assets, its an excrutiating minute of the game playing at 1 fps while trying to keep up with input. When everything loads, performance is acceptable.
Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

Compared to "editors" such as Jon Katz and Michael Simms he is a great journalist.

"Dactilografar" not "datilografar".
The word is pitiful, not "pityful".
You mean like the 12'' PB and iBook?
All hail Eris! Hail Discordia!
Come to think of it, Lucas is the exact anti-Trier what with Dogme and all. :-)
The EU co-funds such endeavours but in no way mandates them. So, the blame for both the initiative and the result belongs within your country.
Did you just compare Lars von Trier to George Lucas?
Using it behind NAT on Mac and Linux, no problems at all.
I was about to say "I wish" but since I actually enjoy my life I'm not going to.
Your lack of understanding on how businesses work and what investors considered important, paired to your will to voice your opinions in an authoritative way astonishes me.
I miss Michael...
Get it right.
You know, I had never thought of that but this actually makes a lot of sense. Kind of a Godfather II thing going on...

I'd take a look at the requirements again, especially that part saying that it needs Windows. Xbox does not run Windows.
But no, you have to reply and act all hurt. That is even worse and in my eyes makes you a hypocrite.
Good day sir.

Are you delirious? You are seriously proposing an add-on that measures and weighs twice a Powerbook as a serious solution? And YOU are being trolled?
Is this the point where I say something and then you reply back "Whoosh!"?
That's hardly a solution for a Powerbook user, is it?
