I think this is because English (and all germanic languages) is not spelled as it is written (unlike for example Fenno-Ugric languages) so native English speakers learn their language by hearing it, when non-native English speakers learn it word-by-word. That's why American/Brittish people make more stupid mistakes than non-native English speakers.
If anyone knows a free Java midlet RSS Reader which works with Nokia Series 40 phones, please tell me! Something like RSS Orbit, but freeware/open source!
Who remembers SimFarm? Not really great, not really bad. The game had some flaws, if you would buy livestock in a cold climate the animals would never go outside and never eat since the feed was outside. They would still procreate and grow up though.

...but as other people noted in the last thread, you miss out on some of the other other niceties. For one, I hate "online" manuals. You can take your PDFs and stuff 'em. I treasure my spiral-bound manual for Neverwinter Nights.
I would love to have a cell phone that is small, nice looking and JUST MAKES CALLS AND STORES ADRESSES!
Hell I've never understood people complaining about this. Yes, there are ALOT of phones which are small, nice looking and just make calls and stores addresses. And they are incrediply cheap, you can get old cell phones virtually for free. Who the hell is stopping you buying one.
Why must we overpay for tons of features that we don't want or need.
No-one's forcing you. Get an old cell phone. And there's a lot of people who like these new features and are willing to pay for them (including me).
The entry of eight central and eastern European countries together with Cyprus and Malta into the European Union on 1 May 2004 is a historic achievement, ending centuries of division. Europe reunited means a stronger, democratic and more stable continent, with a single market providing economic benefits for all its 450 million citizens.

The ten newcomers, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, join formally on 1 May 2004.

Very happily I perused the games, and quickly got addicted to Frozen Bubble
Frozen Bubble is straight from hell, I played it three hours straight when I started Knoppix first time. I don't know why it's so damn addictive.
BTW if you have problems running KDE with your 450 mhz laptop try some of the other desktop managers. In boot-up, instead of just hitting enter, type:
"knoppix desktop=icewm" to use IceWM or
"knoppix desktop=fluxbox" to use FluxBox.
Do what I did: Use Knoppix. It's perfect way to try Linux. Download the iso-image, burn it on cd and boot your computer with it. Ta-da, you have Linux with a nice collection of apps (KDE + several other desktop managers, Mozilla, OpenOffice, etc). It's a bit slow cos it doesn't use hard drive at all (by default). When you're done playing with Linux, take the cd off and reboot. You have WinXP again.
But its resolution is only 10 m. I'm pretty sure that the beagle was smaller than that.
Yeah, but the parachute should be big enough (if it has opened). I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that they actually try to spot Beagle 2 when Mars Express flies over the landing spot.
Though it was funny, I thought UO prided itself on a 'closed economy' that shoulda been free of such stuff.
Well it is pretty much. New money is only generated by killing monsters and selling NPC vendors. The amounts of money you get from these are ridiculously low.
Just out of curiosity (never played UO, probably never will) does anyone know what the exploit looked like, what you had to do?
If I understood correctly, you had to by cloths from NCP vendor, clip them to bandages by scissors and sell them back to NCP vendor. NCP vendors don't really have money, it's created when players sell them stuff. So the huge amount of money was made out of thin air, that caused the massive inflation.
In Finnish there's "pussi" meaning a bag. I've always thought it's a loan word from Swedish.
. a borg cube! it even has mini-cube satellites that make me think of decentralized systems (i know it's not, but that's what it makes me think of)
And it was even made by a collective of students!

Thanks a lot.
And Finland has decided to quit all terrestrial analog transmissions in 2007 and move completely to digital television (DVB/MHP).

That, or it could be the ultimate redneck FPS... John Deere Hunter.
A sequel to Redneck Rampage?

You read manuals?
So definition of ellipse can have a superposition between ellipse and ellipsis :D
Don't you think that the vids look bit too much like stop-motion animations :)
btw it's FOOTBALL dammit!
So how long until we get transparent aluminium?
It's already here, you just can't see it.
This might very well cause a trade war between Europe and USA.
Aren't US and EU already in a trade war?
Yup.
Europe Net Users Now Outnumber US/Canada

False, Hungary isn't part of the EU and won't be this year.
Wrong, from the EU website:

Both ran well on my old AMD K6-2 400mhz.

I think the record was something like 70000 euros.

Nope, a Nokia director Anssi Vanjoki broke that:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/1759791.s
116,000 euros ($103,600) for driving at 75 km/h (47 mph) in a 50km/h (31 mph) zone. Ouch.
Galileo is not mentioned yet?
There's probably not a spot on the surface of the Earth that has not been visited by a human,
Err... you are forgetting that 70% of Earth surface is covered with water.
