    What are you talking about?? The "free month" period went on for ages because of the problems that occured.

    SoE ran the servers, not lucasarts also.

    Some of the EQ2 features sound really great, and I may have been tempted by them. (Even though WoW won the review) However I still am burning about the money I spent on SWG and the complete lack of quality that product had. (I would elaborate, but it has all been said before)

    So instead I say: You can kiss my well toned butt SOE

    I can't imagine I am the only one who thought:
    "WoW sounds great, but everquest IS the champion of MMOG..."
    But then thought:
    "Hang on, EQ2=SOE..."

    It is a standard way to rate employee works rates and I was assuming that they have something similar to, you know, evaluate their employees.

    Mostly I was just describing the ridiculousness of the statement given that their problems aren't not attitude, but resource based. In such an environment, any employee slowing down to do things properly would be seen to be lax of course.

    Common sense dictates that some sort of measure would be in place...

    Because in my experience human beings, especially men/boys, will try to "win" at any sort of competition they are presented with.

    They completely lose the plot and just start competing for the sake of it. It rarely occurs to them that the whole point might not be to compete.
    This appears out personal interactions also.

    I call it the shrivelled penis syndrome: Person is trying to make up for a small penis.

    The have only annouced their intention to change the system. Judging by how long it took to make even small changes to the combat system when I was playing, I would say a full revamp should take about...10-20 years. :) But seriously, this move is only to try and hold onto the current population. They have prduced a carrot for the players - maybe the ass's will fall for it, maybe not.

    Fanboy raving about how much you like EQ?? Or was it you backed to wrong game and don't want to admit you would have rather spent your $50 elsewhere??

    If you would stop your ranting for a second you would see that I did not state my personal preference at all. I merely pointed out that EQ2 does not deserve anything simply because it was the sequel to a game that does deserve respect.
    WOW has apparently captured the imagination and therefore the market of most MMOG gamers.
    I can back this up because it is true, unlike your less than useless opinion.

    Think before you rant, you will look less of a fool.

    Tell me again why a sequel should be given "repect" simply because it is a sequel to a popular game/film/graphics card???
    It is called competition: you snooze, you lose.

    It would appear that WOW went for the better tradeoffs. (cartoon vs realistic and evergrind vs fun leveling/soloing)

    No your example has absolutely nothing to do with this situation. No it does not prove anything.

    Please go away.

    People buy in the box MMOG with the full expectation of receiving a free month. That is always how it has been. It was also written on the box.

    Thus if they fail to deliver, they should reemburse. This also has always been done. In fact I don't know of a MMOG release that did not end up having to do this?
    I am sure there must be one....

    I think that those are great ideas.

    Unfortunately Dubbyah got back in and, judging from his weak show on medical in the debates, that is not going to happen.

    He will continue to protect the standard of drugs in the US by making sure they cost a lot.

    After all, you get what you pay for.

    How about: Month included and paid for as part of the $50? $50 for a game engine (no source) and no right to play would be silly.

    I am sure some people can, given that freaks of nature exist all over the place.
    Most likely what happens is that many people think they can, but actually can't.

    I know what my code looks like when I pull all nighters, it is not pretty. I try to avoid this whenever possible.

    I guess it is about knowing your limitations. (something PHBs are hopeless at)
