try some of the other EQ presets (or make your own). the baseline EQ that winamp has always come with has always sounded 'flat' to me, too. i prefer the Rock preset for most everything.
our company was one of the dissatisfied customers, we've been pushing for this for the past six months as its been just unbearable.
the worst part about it was that they knew the problem existed. if you somehow magically got somebody in the US that could help you, they'd finish the call in 5 minutes, no prob. if you got India, not only would it take an hour, but then they would have to transfer you to a 'quality control agent' who was basically a US operator that would repeat the entire course of the call to make sure they did the right thing!
so the big deal of this is the fact that the satellite can maintain a signal while the car is moving? isn't this exactly what my Sirius satellite radio has been doing for a while now? or any of the bojillions of XM radios that come in Chevys now?
i hadn't thought of this, and the repurcussions if someone were taking a test online or something and hit that before they knew about the feature. thanks for making a good point. =)
although i'm still not sure how i warranted a 'troll' out of that..
heh, i must admit, me too. those Dual Jewel sets rule. i got that one, as well as Descent Freespace packed with either its expansion or Freespace 2, i don't recall at the moment, but it was like $10 too.
you're being too kind with the 'legitimate' branding. think about it, this is the kind of title thats going to sit in a jewel case in Wal-Mart next to Big Deer Hunter 9 and Bubba's Hunt Fest for $9.
what method did you use to successfully extract it? i got it from the BT link up towards the top of the comments (its near my other comment) and i cant get the thing to extract, using Winace, Winrar, or good ol stand by dos-based unrar. says file headers are bad on every file inside it and won't extact anything except the directory structure and a readme way down deep.
..who the frig is Anthony Hamilton, and is this an artist we should be getting all upset about 'losing' (for lack of a better slashdot-oriented term) in the first place?
I really enjoyed your short story you wrote for the Matrix website when they had their series of 'comics' coinciding with the release of the second film. Are there any plans for you to be involved in any way in any future works in that series?

oh ive got this one beat. i used to work at sprintpcs and hated every minute of it. two of my faves:
the guy who couldnt find the 'end' button on his phone. all he could find was 'pn...u.' (phone upside down)
the woman who called to activate a replacement for her cellphone that had no display screen (cordless phone. after all it was cheaper)
