well, maybe i wasnt specific enough. stories regarding sco unix/system v/caldera/whatever != stores about the sco 'lawsuits.' so a 'sco lawsuits' section, or something. or maybe just a 'frivolous lawsuits' section..actually i like that idea better now that i think about it.
Well, that works, but only in the loosest sense. Blocking YRO also works, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea. What if someone wanted to see other YRO or Caldera stories but just did not care about SCO anymore?
It's time for a new section. It's time for an SCO section, ala Games or YRO. A section devoted entirely to SCO stories, because I (and I imagine a lot of other people) simply do not care about them anymore.
might be too late for you to see this..but when nerding out at a comic/anime/scifi/etc con a couple months ago (megacon for those curious) there were bootleg dvd booths owned by a company called A+ Entertainment. they had dvds of the thx original laserdiscs ripped to dvd, pretty professional looking boxes, menus, and even some special features. cost me $60 for the trilogy, but totally worth it. looks way better than vhs and only pauses at the point where they probably had to flip the LD, but its not much worse than a layer transfer on a dvd normally anyway.
i'm sure those people exist on the net somewhere if you want to pick those up, but the divx rips floating around kazaa seem to be pretty popular too, albeit without some of the fun stuff.
1. i'd never thought about that point, thats a good reason to do that. i doubt lucas thought that up in the first place, but i can feel better telling myself that. doesnt explain the droids throughout the universe buuutttt..its better than nothing i guess. =)
2. ACK ITS YOU AND THAT SIG AGAIN! FOREVER TORMENTING ME! youve gotta tell me where that sig is from, its driving me crazy because i KNOW that i know it but its just not clicking.
ugh, somehow i'd managed to not hear that piece of information till now, i was hoping for the old suit. although it makes sense that he'd make some new suit thats ten times as complicated and 'technologically' advanced as the original suit and further ruin all the continuity, just as he did with the droids, and the starships, and the fighters and . ..
the PSone-style PS2. i used to have a PS2 (sold it a while back), and recently got a new car and was considering throwing a PSone/screen combo in there since its only like $90...but a PS2 version would be ever so nice, especially if it keeps the PSone backwards compatibility.
i understand privacy concerns as much as the next guy. but really, in this particular instance (and a few others i could think of), WHO CARES? this is not exactly a matter of life or death. so a company knows where/how you bought one of THEIR products? and not even a life/credit/whatever altering purchase, we're talking a few dollars worth of beer? someone alert the friggin press.
they worked fine for me in 2.4.22-10 and 2.6.0-1 kernels on my 9700pro and 9000M respectively (although the 2.4 machine was on a via chipset that caused some issues when compiling).

Yeah, I've got karma to spare.
i can't believe they could use the phrase 'international warez syndicates' with a straight face.
..informative? did somebody misclick?
on topic, i laughed. =)

ah, my savior. i was dead sure it was from an ancient speech, now i'll be able to sleep again. =)

he meant his NES, physical box, is about to die. hence wanting to emulate them and hence the comment about keeping the games pretty. not the company.
heh, 'interesting.' =)
this comment just birthed the greatest thread ever. just thought i'd get that out there.
*raises hand*
50% Underrated and 20% Overrated to boot. If i wasn't replying to this i think i'd have to throw a fourth modifier in there just for fun.
