Can you do the same with that Hep-C cure? With AIDS drugs? No, you need them to survive. You will literally die if you do not get them. So, as we have seen many, many times over the years, old drug patents are purchased by third parties and the price is increased by, often times, more than 1000%. Or a super computer has slightly varied and already existing drug and a slight improvement is seen for MS patients. So, these are sold for $3000 per treatment. This is literally holding the public hostage. Sure, the assholes may argue... you can choose not to take it. Let us see your opinion when your little girls gets cancer (god forbid it) and you choose not to pay the 25000$ treatment because it's not fully covered by the insurance.

I would say you get about 17 min of actual program per 30 min, the rest is loud and obnoxious adverts. Why would anyone actually pay money to suffer that crap? Not to mention that the monthly fees for TV in the US is stupidly high. When I was last living there, we paid 120 per month for TV plus internet. We ended up dropping TV but still needed to pay 70 per month for internet. Nice that they are now allowed to kill your netflix speed even though you give those asshats almost 1k a year.
Of my friends, I know only a couple with TV and that is because they are diehard soccer fans.
I find it curious that when Google or MS actively prevent any competitive service on their products the Apple fanbois scream anti-trust. However Apple has a pretty good chuck of the mobile market in terms of manufacturers and routinely and actively prevents competitive products. Every tried to use Google maps or Waze with carplay? Nope. Terms and conditions say you are not allowed to make a navi platform for it. Alternative app store? Nope. Not allowed.
I could not personally care any less about the restrictions on Apple products since I do not use them. It's just silly though that Android gets anti-trust lawsuits when Apple is far more anti-competition in their actions.

The control amp was brought up to 50W to rule out the effect of noise generated by the control unit, however that power was dumped into an attenuation. 50W is not all that much if you are looking to do work. Compared to the 1-2W on your phone it is a lot, but compared to a cell tower of 100-500W, it's peanuts. Let alone the 1500W of microwave energy in your kitchen.

Most people that I know get their meat from the butcher counter and that is wrapped in waxed paper. Ice cream would be an issue. At one point, I guess we will need to bite the bullet though.

I am surprised it has taken so long to actually get graphene production up to meaningful levels given the potential uses for the material. One would think that its potential to drastically increase the output while decreasing the energy requirements for desalinization alone would have have spurred more development. Not to mention fast charging batteries, insulation, structural components in cars and aircraft, solar cells and tons of other pretty important things.
This really seems like something the the US Navy needs... desperately. For everyone else though... the ocean is pretty large so likely it is not so urgent.
