Developers are white collar workers, who can do math. If you ask any white collar worker in america "Do you expect to become a millionaire?" If they answer no, they are either bad at math or bad at retirement planning, or both.
Now I am not saying "everyone will be a millionaire" but I am saying that if you asked the same thing of a Nurse, pharmacist, professor, regional manager at Jack-in-the-Box, or a School Administrator... they should have the same answer, as they have similar salary levels to a "Developer."
Any young-ish person in the $75k+ salary level should answer yes to that question... or should seriously downsize their spending.

Uverse sucks at finding even their own locally hosted Netflix peering boxes. Something about needing to completely screw over DNS in order to serve up digital TV channels you don't want (and in some cases don't even get).
On Uverse default config, my netflix content was streamed from Seattle to my location in Texas, which worked, except during peak hours.
After overriding to Google DNS (which you have to do on the OS level, or buy a seperate router to do, since it is hard coded on their router) my content was streaming from an AT&T IP address, which was about 25 miles from my house (as estimated by IP address location website).
The irony of course, is that it was their own server that their DNS couldn't find.

There is a timer called "safety net" that is ticking away any time you are in combat killing monsters. If you get a legendary or set item, the timer goes to 0. If the timer gets to 2 hours, your chance to get a legendary item steadily ticks up until it is at 100%, then you get a drop, then it goes back to 0.
the most you can play (actually play, not just sit there) is just over 2 hours before getting a legendary. If not, you should record a video of you playing for 5 hours straight with no drops and put it on the youtubes, because you are bugged.
Blizz claims most people will not have to rely on the safety net, only the truly unlucky... but my experience is, you can set your watch by the 2 hour gap between legendaries.
Are the updates where the hardware requirements have changed so much that you effectively have to buy new hardware. Obviously, not an issue for phones

Large scale data aggregation and reporting (one of the many things that go by "big data") might not have sciency uses, but any time a V level can provide a C level with "something" that says "We are doing stuff" there will be a huge market for it.
Basically what I am saying is, even if "Big Data" is nothing but a placebo, like say "HR Training", "Wellness programs", "performance reviews" or "teambuilding" it is a permanent fixture in the big, boring, high paying, stable job providing corporate world.
FYI the flu shot question is part of medicare/medicaid funding. If they don't ask you, then it doesn't count as a completed examination, and since they don't really know/care if you are medicare or self-funded, they ask everyone. They aren't pushing it, but if they don't ask they get a paddling from the government.

It is actually a lot more socially acceptable in modern times to be a-typically social (read: Geeky, Autistic, Introverted, Gay) when it is consciously recognized, but people are still just as xenophobic and reactive when it is below the surface, when something strikes a nerve with their core psychological infrastructure.

Amazon app store works on even the most antiquated and wacky devices. Google Store dropped support for Froyo while froyo was still something like 84% of the market. Many of my devices never made it past that. Google Android market/Play relies on disposable devices... whereas the amazon store will work on anything.
