Ever seen an Aligator Gar? People get these fish as pets, when it gets too big (or little Johny doesn't want the fish any more) they find their way into the river or lake. I forget the name but there were a couple of cases of these fish last summer that bite and are dangerous (from Asia somewhere) turning up in US lakes.

I don't think they need to be illegal but laws about not releasing into the wild have failed miserable before.

It's none of the above, let me ask you this....how "good" is a relationship or a marrige if it will prevent you from doing something that you have spent you whole life dreaming of doing? I would be just as supportive of my wife if she wanted to do something that would take her away from me for years or even forever if it was something she REALLY WANTED. I am married, i do love my wife, and if admitting that she and I will each support the other in following their dreams makes us idiots then I will gladly accept being an idiot.

I'm married (without children) and I would go in a heartbeat and my wife would understand. Don't get me wrong I love my wife very much and we have a great relationship but for me a trip to mars (even a 1-way trip) would be a dream come true and if I passed on it...it would be as Ray said in "Field of Dreams"..."It would KILL some men to get so close to their dream and not touch it! God, they'd consider it a tragedy!" Some dreams are more important that a marriage, then even life. I would sign up to go even if I KNEW I would die when my air ran out after 2 weeks!

Let me point out the differences: First, Mozilla allows reasonably easy backup and restore of email. It even imports Outlook's email flawlessly. To this date, I have not found a reliable method of backing up Outlook and being able to retrieve it in a usable format.
Just copy the outlook.pst file to somewhere else. This is a back up. To restore, just put it back over the active one and re-open outlook.

Third, I probably don't need to go into the annoying tendency Outlook has of opening mails to allow a virus to get in. That is so well documented as to make its iteration here inane. Mozilla on the other hand, is secure by defualt, and I understand that Thunderbird is better (although, since I prefer linux, it doesn't make that much difference).
The solution to this is also well documented, turn off preview pane and then set Outlook to not pre-load the e-mail for faster loading. The problem is that users turn on preview pain which forces outlook to pre-load the mail.

I admit that outlook has its issues, but lets not fault it for things that it can do right if you let it.

If it wern't for my virus scanner I would agree, however it detects and flags all the e-mails with viruses. So the score is 0-0. :)
