Agreed. Just go to www.irs.gov and download the PDFs. You can get the forms and the instructions. The forms are fill-in so you can just type in your numbers. When you are done print and sign. It took me longer then the parent poster, it actually took me about a day to do Federal and State. When I was done I printed, my wife and i signed and I mailed them in. Why pay to e-file when I can mail them for less then a $1 each!?!? That's what really gets me about taxes...it costs the Govnmt quite a bit less if you e-file but they charge you to do so! i'll mail them and make them spend more the process my taxes until they make e-file free.

He could choose not to buy a new TV. If he wants access to their content (and everything on TV is content created and owned by someone) the he had to buy the technology that they support and allow their content to play on. If he doesn't want to support that technology, then he has no rights to watch their content. I agree that all this DRM is overboard and I don't like it, but I don't like to see people saying they are "forced" or who act like it's their god given right to have access to all content out there.

Who's forcing you? Just don't buy a PC/GFX card/DVD play/ TV with this! It might limit your choses (or mean you can't buy something you would want). It might mean you can't watch a movie you want to see, but no one is going to hold a gun to your head and FORCE you to use this. There are people who chose not to use credit cards, and while it does limit them in many ways, they survive.....

Actually value and potential value are two vastly different things. When you by a house do you report what it might be worth in 10 years on your value for property taxes? Why you buy a car do you pay what it might be worth if 25 years if it becomes a rare classic auto? Your "lucky" ticket's value is that which you paid for it, until that roll happens, personally I wouldn't pay you a dime for it because it could just as easily be worthless. That's why I don't play the lotto. However since that ticket MIGHT be worth X millions of dollars you must be willing to pay a lot for it.

Actualy when issued they are usualyy worth 0. Since the price they are set at = the market value of the day. Also in MOST cases they vest over time so i can't sue them today even if the price of my stock doubles over night. So right now stock options are worth NOTHING the day they are granted.
