Now if only he had seen the movie Twister
Rafe: "In a severe lightening storm, you want to grab your ankles and stick your butt in the air."
Megan: "He's right, if you're gonna get hit, it's the safest orifice."
Which brings up an interesting question: if one can patent swinging could one try an patent a clearly illegal idea? Could one patent the act of killing someing using a 1998 Ford Escort as a weapon?
Actually they are good at reversing the charges, however most will write off all the the small (less the severl thousand dollar) ones because it would cost them too much to track the theif down. I know this because my wife had a case of ID theift last year. It's amazing how little the banks care, which is why it's a "low-risk" crime. The banks are the victims (not the people who's ID was stollen) and since the banks to see it in their best interest to persue/file chages in many cases it's a low risk crime.
It will NEVER stop being about money. As a great quote from "The Heist" says
Coffee Cart Man: Hey buddy. You forgot your change.
Joe Moore: [Takes the change] Makes the world go round.
Bobby Blane: What's that?
Joe Moore: Gold.
Bobby Blane: Some people say love.
Joe Moore: Well, they're right, too. It is love. Love of gold.
They want control so they can squeeze every last penny out of you that they can. The more control they have the more gold they get! This is why you plan won't work, almost all of it involves being happy just making a lot of money, they aren't happy unless they make ALL the money.
I was at Fry's on monday and they had CD duplicators for ~$210. So if you skip the Like-On burner and get on of these, i'm pretty sure taht all their "auto-run" crap won't stop you from copying with that.
I think only like 2 states have this. Most places best you can do is leave it blank, which means that you arn't counted in the "total" votes for that race.
Or the ever popular "If I was still in the old-land I would have been put in jail/put to death" argument. A number of people came here to avoid prosecution.
Well the theory is that if they DO get into space for the X-prise, it would suck to be told, oh you can't land here we arn't a spaceport please circle while we get FAA approval to land a spacecraft at our airport!
Sprint's contract says I can switch to ANY then currently offered plan. If I switch to a plan (I have switched to a less expensive plan when I no longer needed as many min) that requires a coontract i need to re-start my contract. So you can easily switch, to ANY plan they offer as log as you don't mind starting another contract. I'll also point out that with MOST of sprint's plans you can chose to pay an extra $10 a month and NOT have a contract. If the contracts were as harsh as you seem to think they are then more people who rebel against them. Most people don't mind them because they take into account that people might want to change their plan. (In fact it's actually BETTER for the co if you do, because now your contract has restarted and therefor is in effect longer!)
In most case in 1 or 2 years the contract ENDS! Also most compaines let you start a new contract with a new plan without penalty even if you are in the middle of a current contract. The contract is just to stay a customer of that carrier, not to make you hate that carrier! Most prepaid also don't have data, pictures, games, ringtones, and all the other "features" that many people want.
I have sprint and have only gotten 1 spam sms message to my phone in 5 years i've had a cell. I reported it to SPRINT PCS and the tech said that with the exact time of the message and the number it was sent to they could get the IP address of the sender's computer. If you get spam on your phone report it!
It could be worse, I have a parent who THINKS he knows alot about computers because he used to program them with punch-cards in College! He tries to understand (and be able to do) everything I do with computers. One thing I don't miss about living with the 'rents is trying to un-do the horible things he did to PCs.
Did you think about have the "airbags" be "vacume bags" and no not like the kind that you clean the floor with. Have them be EMPTY (all air/gases removed). That would make it even more bouyant!
I think the Klingon Incident and Romulan Wars would have made GREAT shows, and it was what I was expecting when they announced Enterprise. It just didn't happen, and i'm just pointing out that at this point it probably WON'T happen.
Considering how much of the "History" of trek they have already gotten out of order or wrong (from what the prior series lay down) I don't think they really care.
1) What happened to the Romulan War before Phasers, Photons Torpedos and subspace comunication?
2) What happened to the Kiling conflict during first contact with them the lead directly to the prime directive?
3) What about the Borg Ship on Earth that almost takes over Enterprise yet humans have no knowledge of them before Q.
4) What about this Temporal War that only seems to effect The Enterprise Time frame and the far future? Not to mention that it seems in the far future Star Fleet "forgets" about it's own temporal prime directive!
I think they gave up on continuity somewhere around the pilot episode!
Largly they ignopre the TIVO/VCR market. The reasoning is that they are there really to measure people watching the ads, not the shows. If you TIVO'ed or Taped odds are you won't watch the ads and so they don't count you.
And you can read that data off of BOTH drives, and get a 100% increase in read times.

No not CDs, Carrier Pigions!
Or just look at the sale price of homes. More expensive house = better targets and hose price data is easy to get on my realtor's websites.
Well this is a couldy area sin'te the case is brought by the DOJ (government) you should be able to get a PD.
I think only like 2 states have this. Most places best you can do is leave it blank, which means that you arn't counted in the "total" votes for that race.
The tax payers now get a PD lawyer if they are charged?

Ok, I'll bite. If the company is "unable to operate until it's restored" have they not thought of having a redundance built in?

Some days are just like that around here.
DOH. That what I get for haveing read this on my PDA. I'm sorry I totally missed that before.

I think he was killed by klingons there too. :)
