You have no idea what you are talking about. You are listening to a few idiots on news channels. Bitcoin and altcoins have thousands of companies already situated around their growth, education, and usage. Entire countries are releasing currencies to cover their use. It's silly to even respond to this crap anymore but someone has to actually stand up for something that is right on this damn site. You guys hate it because you haven't been smart enough to see a growing industry right in front of your face. Let alone a technology one! Guess what this is a technology site and you guys are hating on... technology! It's unbelievable. Future of helping humanity out of being poor, giving to good causes, AI, medicine, drug therapy, stores, freedom related technologies is all being built on top of cryptocurrencies. This is exciting technology that some old people with money don't understand, not a fucking bubble. Pull your head out of your asses and read and enjoy fintech.
This is the equivalent of saying bad ending for automobiles when Ford and co were just starting to get them out the door. 90% of the hate here is from people who just haven't gotten in or even gotten it. The markets are exploding upwards. More and more countries are getting on board. The technology is in use in other markets and by many many companies already. Employment is growing steady and so is education. You guys got to remove the frigging blind folds sometime and realize this is a fucking new industry not a damn tulip. Geez
Prices aren't going down they are going up. We've just this week had ATHs across many many currencies. Just today one went 8000% up. Geez you guys are all full of fucking shit. This article is even wrong, they are not banning trading just anonymous accounts.
It's unreal how much anti crypto talk there is here. This used to be a site for nerds and now it's just frigging negative crabby assholes. Bitpay in the USA was not hurt by this it was the VISA partner in Europe that wasn't following rules. If it were a crack down on blockchain it'd be everywhere and every partner of VISA dealing with it.
It is enough if it is enough for these people sometime. Supply and demand. They can contract for another place or work a regular job with fixed shifts. We could reverse this and say that this company is helping out their customers by keeping rates low so they can afford to use their services and at the same time creating more jobs.
Stallman is against the cloud and even non foss websites. The cloud takes free and proprietary software and puts it behind firewalls where you can't see how the code is running or configured. Very few to none of them provide the environment you use on their server farm for you to download and reproduce at home. Google discontinued their local search appliance and I am not even sure of Amazon ever offering anything like it.
Great comment. I agree. I think Bitcoin will be worth 100k and then 1 million each eventually assuming it stays on top and another alt coin doesn't chew it up. It has a continues to have a great majority of this new market and like you said it is a global market so 7500$ is puny for a coin value with 8 decimal points.
This is pretty damn cool. This will bring about a large homebrew workforce that will only help Samsung sell even more sets. Great news. Makes me like mobile even more now.
Same here. My gf had hers replaced at an Apple store and it behaved exactly the same. This isn't just 3rd party unless the apple store used non genuine parts also. This is more likely PR spin/control.
will post the study results well in advance of the research of the actual study/study group itself. Then after everyone believes it there will be a little retracted article a year later that probably 1% of the original readers will even see/hear of.
Awesome post. I'm hoping this guy, if even knows how to use Linux Desktops or if he is just a hired figurehead that has connections, might consider it after this press.
"As the Executive Director of The Linux Foundation since its inception, Zemlin has had a hand in every major decision in the history of the foundation and its projects." - wikipedia - This right here alone is even more reason for him to use Linux only (or at least mostly).
Best way to stay out of control of others is to not rely on them. This uses distributed means direct from the user to generate a revenue source without having to cater to 3rd parties under gov control. Can't get better than this. I'm sure Google and others who rely on ad revenue will try to ban it as soon as possible though or push out an update under the guise of helping to limit peoples computer usage on websites. That latter part already has happened once and screwed up a lot of apps.
The new installer script for latest Firefox fixed this issue and that pesky having plugins problem:
#!/bin/sh
ln -s/usr/bin/google-chrome/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox
Amber based sunglasses and computer glasses help immensely. I do not get dry aching eyes and I'm not light sensitive after hours of computer usage. My eyes aren't tired anymore.
Totally agree, I do part time driving for both popular companies and would not be able to do so if I had to meet specific hour requirements like an employee would. I wouldn't even want to try honestly. There is huge freedom in switching on/off driver mode. This is just gov money grabbing probably from either people planted by taxi businesses or a bunch of people that are miserable with their lives anyway.
Something makes me feel like all these anti Twitter news things are hit pieces. How many times do you hear about other companies almost on a weekly basis that are doing poorly? This has been covered in all angles. They have 140 million users and are a name brand pretty much. What are you trying to accomplish by constantly reporting that they are dying? I don't care either way but its just funny how often this is reported on.
I agree with you but I started the sentence with admitting I am in the minority. Most comments are considered opinion from the start.. hence the word comment. If I were an article on Wikipedia you would be right in slamming that statement. Ease up a bit.
Hehe, it actually is more confusing than just pushing it. It delves into the technical area which freaks people out. You have to pick SBS (Side By Side) or OU or some other ones. Which option is best depends on resolution factors, etc. http://www.spirton.com/why-you...
I know I am a minority here but I love 3D on my 2015 4K LG OLED. Movies are far more entertaining in 3D _WHEN_DONE_RIGHT_. I understand the hate for the glasses but I think its also a technical and content issue too. People are ok streaming shitty DVD quality let alone HD or 4k streams. They charged extra for 3D options or only provided them in a lower quality resolution even. Plus people had to push a button when starting to play the content which is a non starter for some people.
Still my favorite syntax for programming and I believe will always be. I mostly use Clojure at the moment but definitely wanted something just like this to work closer to C.
Tell me about it. If it doesn't work as a full time job so what? Pay your car loan only then. What the hell is wrong with people that think everything should just work perfectly for them? You sit in a car and push a frigging pedal. Yes it hurts your car and the costs can be greater than the reward part of the time. Obviously there is an agenda to crowd source anger against uber/lyft etc going on right now. Not sure if the drivers are getting caught up in it (since you can't rely on most "news" anymore), the cause of it, or victims of it (cab companies?).
News at 11: Lemonade stand doesn't pay children back for their child slave labor.

He seems like one of the few sane voices left. Dying breed in a mess of newcomers that are just addicted consumers and not creators anymore.

This is them trying to quiet down the fact that it wasn't only 3rd party screen repairs. My gf had her's done at an Apple store and it also messed up.

I love 3D though. Really sad it did not make it so far but I'm sure glasses free will fix that.
This is so frigging true. HDR looks like muddy crap on both a 10bit LCD and OLED. It can't be turned off either.
