That used to be quite common. IBM practiced it when they'd sell nobbled DASD (disk, to you young whippersnappers) that could be upgraded for a healthy fee and a tech to remove a pin from the device.
The Windows 8 GUI reminds me of Windows 3.1. Sometimes I think it's full-circle, then sometimes I think it's full-circle-jerk...
Unless you have a Universal Program That Does Everything, you'll need to move stuff between windows. I don't see how the native W8 interface facilitates that.
Yes, ethical testing would include people who are desperate and willing to try it. A frayed rope is better than nothing if you're falling. My best friend is in that position, and would certainly jump at the opportunity to aid research by either staying alive himself, or helping someone else in his position down the track.
you can sew rather a large number of books in your common Micro SD card. They're tiny - fingernail sized - and there are readers for them that aren't much larger. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_sd#microSD
I stopped playing Everquest when I became aware it was a Sony product. Because of their corporate practices, their support of RIAA and their proclivity toward suing their customers, I would not play it if the game lined my pockets with real gold. Sony taking ownership of any game I play is a switchable offense.
I'm not entirely sure this is an MBA oriented issue -- NCSoft, though global, is a South Korean company. It would be difficult to accurately infer a cash growth-based motive for dropping it. It could be technical, or artistic reasons, or the big one -- the people capable of growing the game in terms of interesting play, simply weren't there. Perhaps they retired, left the company, or are being vectored off to GuildWars.
Yes -- VM appliances rock, and they're scalable, at least to the point where you can copy the VM across to a larger machine whenever you want, and boot it up there. They're also easy to recover. Plenty of them on Sourceforge. I used to use Dekki (now Mindtouch I think) for a portable wiki, as a consultant. Great for gathering data and disseminating it to my peers. Proved the appliance theme for me.
The Constitution exists. His argument is invalid.
His argument is also egregious, as would any demand for the right to print money.

We've gotta leave this egg before we run out of food and we die as a chicken.
(Ok, you may think I'm albumin idiot for using this metaphor, but *somebody* had to raise it.)
22% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
I just don't understand this trust in government in anyone out of their mid teen years.

"You can sew... into a seam of your clothes..."
Sorry, insufficient caffiene error.

Brain surgery is often followed by depression. It's one of the things they guard against post-op.

...next use stenography to hide encrypted data in. they will notice a difference in each copies checksum ...
Please, people, it's Steganography, not Stenography. Stenography is a manual transcription process that was practiced in the days of Shorthand.
(Please show some consideration for the CDO sufferers among us!)
Horse manure. Different size gravity wells.
The things they'll sacrifice...
Yes. Us, basically. We *so* need to get out of this egg before we run out of resources.
Uh, ouch. Sharepoint has its place, and I think this isn't it. Especially since they are mandating open source for budget reasons.

Sorry, mate, didn't know this was your lawn. I'll leave now.
I thought the Brits drank warm beer because they had Lucas refrigerators?

Should work for whiskey though, shouldn't it?
Not to mention the fact that bubbles in beer led to the invention of the bubble chamber http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_chamber
Hey, if Zombie Nels Bohr showed up in our pub, his money would be no good. I'd buy him a couple, and all my friends too.
He invented Rock & Roll, and surfing, too. Pretty amazing guy!
Overheard from our infrastructure manager: "Well, we skipped Vista..."
Being a gamer, I wood elf said it differently.
