Had a guy in a class I took who was a speed typist or something - you could barely hear the lecture over the machine-gun sound of his typing. To me, the distraction factor was in the noise created by the tool. If it had been done quietly, I would not have known or cared.
The easy joke to make is SCO, but I think ACORN and the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world have started off poor and used the court systems, the treat of lawsuits (and the bad publicity that comes with them) and the threat of boycotts to become quite wealthy.

Remember, the last Democrat who was President signed the current bill. The Democrats get a lot of money from Hollywood, so they won't be too eager to go against Hollywood's perceived interests.
