Well Zelda Classic isn't a ROM but a actual PC program. Besides letting you play the original 2 quests a third has been made. You can even make you own. You can find it at: http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/index.php?s= It is still being worked on so more stuff will come. It comes in Windows and even Linux. But DOS right now is more bugless.

  2. selling to people not companies on Still More Google IPO Speculation · · Score: 1

Is there any way for Google to IPO but when they do the shares only can be sold to people and not companies? Or a way to limit the number of shares sold to any one entity? If Google IPO'ed but each person or company could get at most 100 shares then it might do better. Or at least 1 company or person couldn't control it. They could just release less that 50% but is that the only way?

I still remember a weird device one of the woman hosts was doing which was somehow antigravity. It used gyros and flywheels and such. I've always wondered how it worked.

Ahh the boycott, not to be confused with cots for girls. It is a useful method but it doesn't always work. With billions of potential customers across the globe a few who don't buy won't harm it stock price. Let's say every person who reads Slashdot every day never buys from Claria again. Will their price drop. Maybe but not significantly and probably not. Most people don't read /. and don't know about their products. Boycotts don't work with lots of people. Now a boycott is morally good but not economically viable. I know that my boycotting of various companies like Walmart, Hilton, and Debeers won't affect their bottom line but I won't buy there anyways.

I don't like or want them and I think they are bizzare and painful but I wouldn't classify someone who does them as ill. Just because something isn't "normal" doesn't make the doer sick. IRV should never be used and is worse than plurality. It violates the all important monotonicity principle. That means if you vote for someone they could lose. Approval is better and easier for people, dumb in general, to use.

Can anyone explain the fasination of them? And who nominates? The movie companies or other Acadamy members? And how do you get to be an Acadamy member? The large ones act as a sieve for the small ones. Density probably also matters but I don't know how much. If they have the same density my reasoning works. If the large ones are much denser they might settle down. I think Slashdot mentioned this years ago but am too lazy to search.
