No, that would incourage each party to put in as little as possible. Then you get a bunch of arguments like this:
Lawyer1: Yes, he did.
Lawyer2: No, he did not.
Lawyer1: Yes, he did.
Lawyer2: No, he did not.
Lawyer1: Yes, he did.
Lawyer2: No, he did not.
Lawyer1: Yes, he did.
ect.
I've been sayign that for months. I Don't care now if no one else gets it. I LOVE IT. IT SPEAKS TO ME. screw the stupid people let them it starwars cake!
Actually, if you do look at the interfaces, they are quite simular. Now, Music match has had the intreface since 99 at least. I think apple obviously imitated its design. Apple, however, left out the seperation between the player and the music library. So you can't browse the music store or library and look at your playlist at the same time on Itunes.
That being said, I think I would rather download the higher quailty ( 160 Kbps) Music match files and convert them to Mp3's and then onto the ipod. As for the price, I paid $20 back in 99 for unlimited upgrades. Do you think thats too much for software I have used everyday for the past 4 years?
AAC is open and free to implement, but Apple has a patent on the DRM stuff they added on top. So that won't be free and they aren't licensing it to anybody. So YOU CAN'T PLAY ITUNES FILES ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN IPOD.
Disney Inc stinks, no question about that. But just because they are bad, does that make Mononoke good? I think the real problem with anime in general is a cultural one. Its like opening a brittish resteraunt in america. What needs to be done is to take the quality aspects of anime, and leave out the considerable amount of crap. But the fans will protest any change to any movie, because it is different than what they are used to.
The SR71 has a very low radar profile. The hood ordiment would make you that much more visible. Not like any missle could hit you, but if you are trying to be discreet You'll blow your cover.
Now mod me up +2 UltraGeek.
Don't ya think there should be an UltraGeek option when moderating? Especially, for these threads. It could be like funny, but Geekier. Much Geekier. UltraGeekier!
It does. Much better design, a better thought out program. They've been in the jukebox market since 97, they will survive. Althought in all honesty, they will have to be content to be the number two in the music for sale biz. Or at least until Apple records Sues apple computer back into the stone ages.
No, No, and umm No.
There are functions that can only be accessed by using the right mous button or control clicking. Having only one button on a mouse is a lot like having only one pedal in a car. It would be a heck of a lot simpler with at least two. All of apple's design principles were developed in the early days of computers, things have changed and they have failed to update. There is a reason why Kde, Gnome and all of the other window managers follow windows conventions rather than mac's. No one is trying to do what apple is,because its not a very good idea anymore.
Again, So what? Ok, its dying. Why? How does that effect my usage of it? Is its decline related to the quality of the operating system, or are there other non technical reasons for its decline? Furthermore, philisophically should you stop using a OS simply because it is declining in popularity?
Who cares if no-ine else uses the operating system you choose? This is freakin' slashdot. If we all just chose the most popular os all the freakin time, no one would ever have chosen Linux, and Windows will always be #1. Everyone who debates the *BSD linux by saying that BSD is dying is avoiding the issue. Why not come up with a better argument?
Everything will happen exactly as he describes. It has been foretold by zarlog the spitter. Mono will be destoryed on the fortnight of Zarlog's comming! The.net framework will be filled with propritary api's that are illeagally impossible to copy with out having your intestines devoured for alleternity by the mighty zarlog's minnions. All glory to the comming of Zarlog!
Ok. have you ever taken economcs, ever? Do you understand why it costs money to ship things ? Have you ever wondered why a book cost more than the equvilent amount of paper? Ever wonder why it costs money to make a phone call? Have you really ever done anything productive? I'll just let you think about my questions. If you can't figure it out, well, umm.. Gee I don't know. Have the person who turned on your computer for you explain it
Well, Sort of. I was the president of the Society of Physics Students for two years. The faculty wanted student input, so I interviewed all of the finalists for the positions. Two of the three were fairly normal, but that last one was VERY eccentric. Or at least that's what people would call him if he was rich.
The article mentions at the end that SCO has asked that the trial date be set back so it can have more time amending its briefs. The court trial is not expected to start until 2005. It would be much easier to relax, if the trial had started. Right now, Sco has managed to create an atmoshpere of (and they all said...) Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. IBM is fine it can hold SCO at bay, but its obviousl that sco is not going to wait for the conclusion of the IBM trial before going after other companies ( several of which do not have the money to hire a hoard of lawers to defend them).
They do not recruit Software developers, the honest ones go after bigger game high level executives. The ones that do recruit software engineers have to put up with a difficult job. There are so many stupid jobs in software development that they have to fill. I feel sorry for them. While I do not condone their practices, I can understand the pressures they are under.
Solar power is not a viable solution in most of the world (it's just not reliable enough, even with very expensive Solar panels running at the giddy heights of 20% efficiency). It's not even a viable solution in most parts of the USA (though it's a fine solution for those in states such as California, Texas, or Florida).
Technology changes. The efficency of solar power panels are always increasing. I belive that at some point it is going to be the solution to our power problems. The sun is the only source of renewable energy, although there are indirect ways of obtaining it( like wind, water). Maybe not 100% sure, but more like 66%.
No, he did it for DOS. Its like Windows, but without graphics or multitasking. It doesn't restart windows computers. Am I being too anal? I'm not sure. Its just a pet peeve of mine. I hate it when people call old things by the more recent terminology. Like when kids call The Beetles white album the best cd of the 60's.
If you can't tell a difference in quality between a 160 Kbs wma and a 128 AAC, then yes it makes no difference.

Well, was it one of the new ones? Or are they still looking in quake III?

Oh, I thought as much. Thanks for the confirmation.

Brilliant. That should be modded up funny & informitive.
Uh, I did a week ago.

Yeah, I hate it when people do that. What morons!. *punches self in face*
Yeah, somepeople aren't very good at picking up SARCASAM. Are they?
