    Someone please explain why my post was moderated as redundant. I looked at all previous posts and did not see a single overlord comment. If the joke isn't funny then it should be rated offtopic, or overated, but not redundant. Unless, maybe the moderators were saying that the joke was getting redundant. I think moderators should provide an explanation for their decisions. That way posters would learn what makes a good post good and a bad post bad.

    Start NOW! Unless you want to write in low level assembly specifically targeted at one chip's instruction set, then general programming for 64 bit systems should be trivially different. So learn a good language ( c, c++, java, or visual basic) and deal any minor 64 bit issues if and when it takes off.

Eventually, employers will measure your finger size during the application process. And eventually small fingers will become attractive to members of the opposite sex.

    Want maybe, need No. Check out The idiots guide to nuclear weapons. You will learn that it consists of obtaining a critical mass of U235.

    1. Obtain Uranium 235
    2. Put half on one side of container, other on the other side
    3. use convetional explosive to bring two halves together
    Granted , if you want to know about things like yeild, safety ( before detonation), or how to make a hydrogen bomb that requires some skill.

    I'm not so sure they are barking up the right tree. We don't have the TOE (theory of everything), but I'm not sure if it can be found. That is, I'm not sure if string theory can be valid. Or if it is valid it is not a TOE. I do not have time or energy to prove, but I Belive a TOE violates the 2nd Law of thermodynamics. Granted, some might argue that a TOE would take precedence over the grand 2nd law, but it so reliable and prevents so many stupid things from happening on a big scale that I have faith in it.

    I think Miller Lite # 3 best seller in US( worst beer ever brewed) has to relate to some OS. I'm thinking Mac OS 9. OsX is much better maybe its a Sam adams. I hate Sam adams, but other people seem to love it. Just like osx.

    We have a "embedded" product whichs is really just an old 500 mghz pc with custom hardware. Right now, its just running romdos. We considered switching it over to linux, but the 3rd party libraries would need to be replaced and a great deal of code rewritten. If we make a completely new version of the product ( from scratch) we would definitly choose linux.
