"China’s snapshot of its January trade data on Wednesday came the morning after Germany released official data confirming that it hads lost its status as the world’s leading exporter.
Chinese exports amounted to $1.2 trillion in 2009, while German exports totaled $1.1 trillion, the German Federal Statistical Office said."
The MLA would disagree with you -- I don't have my Handbook with me, but according to Purdue's OWL (which matches the MLA Handbook point for point): "Put commas and periods within quotation marks, except when a parenthetical reference follows."
They must put the funds in escrow until they have settled their final appeals. The float on $1.5 billion is significant, so they are out something regardless of their final verdict.
"The company must write a bank guarantee for the fine right away, though that guarantee is held in a bank account until appeals are exhausted, a process that could take years." ref
When shopping for a new Mac laptop about 6 months ago the screen was a significant issue. Matte screens just looked better to me. I couldn't justify blowing the extra cash on an MBP (w/ matte screen) and ended up with a straight MB. The screen has thus far not been an issue, somewhat to my surprise.
Um, Udo was showing that modern speech recognition software (i.e. Dragon) do not require training. This either disproves the GP's argument that Vista's engine requires training or shows how half-baked Vista's much promoted speech engine really is.
"I think you may also be making the assumption that the CD market has what's called perfect elasticity, in which a $5 CD will sell 3x as many copies as a $15 CD."
Other replies have touched on this, but I'd like to point out that you are discussing unit elasticity, not perfect elasticity.
Verizon's still looks home grown. BTW, their feed is top notch w/ great binary retention and everything. Easier to get TV and movies off of it than BT (and presumably safer).
I second this. I've been w/ them since 1999, and have only suffered about 48 hours of downtime in those 6 years. That's not 9 9's of reliability (actually it's 3:-), but I don't think you will find a better host for the price.
Not to nitpick, but in NYC the streets do not line up with the photo properly. A little annoying to see the supposed street cutting through the block. (not sure how to post a link to the evidence).
Who the hell are you? I've seen you post in every Apple related story as if you are Phil Schiller himself. Why should I believe you have a right to say the right to say the things you say instead of just being a karma whoring janitor at 1 Infinite Loop (assuming you work at 1IL at all). And if you are actually in a position to say what you do, why the hell are you posting on.\? Not meant to troll or flame, just want to be clear on your liberal use of "we".

There are automatic page turning machines that use puffs of air and a stylus to move through a book.

This is actually already done and present in all New York City cabs. http://www.google.com/search?q=nyc+taxi+gps

This is hilarious.

I think you mean client. ;)

More pics and info at Planet Catfish. I'm still amazed by the breadth and depth of websites on seemingly random topics...

Along with http://www.mammals.org/ . Still haven't figured that one out
Proteus is a terrible client when compared to Adium. Try it, you'll probably switch.
Uh no, you don't. You pay ~$7/month w/o the code, $7/YEAR w/ it. Big difference...
You overpaid by a factor of 4 :-) You can get the "Crazy Domain" plan (yours) for $7.77 with a promo code.

You're lying. How exactly do you put a very magnetic drive through the MRI?
Don't forget Yahoo!, which swears by PHP.
What kind of app are you building?
It's not being hammered. It's just as responsive as it has always been. Way to karma-whore!
