I'm not going to defend capitalism (granted I think it's much better than communism), but communism itself is pretty bad.
I myself have fairly left-wing views (I'm from Canada and completely agree with universal healthcare, etc), but communism doesn't seem to take one thing into consideration: Humans are greedy, and this includes the ones controlling the government of a communist country. Much like the very purpose of an incorporation (Check out this movie), there's an underlyting wrongness about communism that doesn't have enough checks and balances (at least not in my country of origin).
Anyway, Bill should grow up and know better than to call people commies. It's unprofessional.
If there's a way to screw up a computer (and there are probably hundreds of thousands of ways), then you'll still get business.
The geeks most likely wouldn't use computer repair services anyway, but the non-tech geeks wouldn't bother with Firefox because it's not as fast at loading up in the beginning anyway, and they'll STILL download the latest spyware infested p2p app, or screen saver, it's in their nature.
And the grandma's who don't use all these fancy programs (i.e. p2p) but just use email, the web, and docs, well they probably don't update their computers (heavy generalization), so they're still your customers.

This also reminds me of listening to a pre-recorded radio broadcast from Washington DC during 9/11. There were many callers from different backgrounds (I believe many were even black) who were all hating on Arabs.
Or here's an even better one (although a little off topic). Yesterday or the day before I saw on BET news how the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr was marching against gays: link here.
I'm not black, but I am a Polish-born Canadian, and the one thing that I've learned throughout the years is that it doesn't do anyone any good to hate solely on race or sexual preferences. You'd be suprised how many people close to you can be affected by this.
My brother works at Toronto city hall and he was complaining to me earlier about how his own computer (at work) barely works.
I asked him why he couldn't install Firefox, or OO.o, and it was all about IT. So then I asked him to tell IT to do it, but he said that he would have to get permission from this person, and that person, so it's very difficult to change anything there. I'm assuming it's very similar in many other organizations out there and I won't put the blame on the IT people, however they should definitely try their best to implement much needed apps like Firefox, PGP (for email), spyware tools etc.
What if we incinerate lawyers? They're more or less a renewable energy source, the amount of methane they produce is roughly equivalent to a cow, and methane is a proven gas for creating electricity.
What you said is not the full truth. There are restrictions. This is how it works in Canada:
It is NOT legal to send copywritten files to people. I'm not 100% sure about receiving files however.
What you're perfectly allowed to do legally is give your friend a CD that you purchased, and he is able to take that CD and make a copy of it.
I'm not too sure how this would work with itunes. I assume your Hard drive is the medium that the song is stored on? So...maybe you can give your friend your harddrive and he can copy it off of your harddrive? Maybe that would be legal.
If my kids were playing GTA (if I had any), I'd tell them to go do their homework, and when they'd go upstairs I'd continue playing...and then my wife would tell me to go mow the lawn, and then when I was gone she'd probably put in The Sims 2.
It's just like that movie Requiem for a Dream, where the junky's mother goes to the doctor and he doesn't even look at her and how sick she looks, he just keeps prescribing more and more medication.
I once went to my family doctor over a mild sickness (I think it was exam week or something) and she just told me to drink lots of water and get rest. She also gave me a prescription (my throat was sore) but I never did end up getting it. I felt fine a few days later.
Doctors just seem like highly advancded retail sales clerks, only their customers are sick, and their products are drugs.
My gf said it's a No Doubt song. I don't listen to them but that track was really catchy! I think it's called What You Waiting For? or something?
No really, I just googled that, I'm not really a fan of Gwen Stephani.:)

That's too harsh, why not just use Britian instead? :B

No judge would believe you that you went to a beach on January 4th.
Okay that was bad.

Plus it's like killing two birds with one stone.
This is so awesome! If I had nVidia stock I'd be ric...wait a minute.
Problem solved.
They're also called: "family", "friends", and "grandpa".
I'm downloading Debian right now. :)
Still keeping Windows 2000 around though (for games, and possibly for the VS.NET development platform later on).
Can we get Open Office and AbiWord supporting each other's formats?
Maybe this already happened but when I downloaded AbiWord 1-2 months ago it did not support OpenOffice.org.
Indiana Jones VII, the search for Indian Jones IV, V and VI
What is this, Space Quest 4?
Or...something?

I'm going to throw away my phone right now into the garbage and buy this one.
It's even more cheetos and mountain dew!
Well here it's pretty safe to say that when you get down below 0C you can expect snow as opposed to rain.

Interesting post but I can't help but be reminded of dianetics. :P
(Read a few pages, and I'm fully aware of what it really is).
What happens at the end of the queue? I think FSOL can wait in my winamp, this song's so awesome.
Are you from Radical Entertainment? I have a family member who works there. According to him it's a great company to work for.
You can basically reach any point in Far Cry. See a mountain? Why not scale it! It's usually possible unless it's the edge of a map.
