... aren't a silver bullet to apply to all games. There are trade offs to having seamless worlds, like having to lower all the chunks of the world into a small enough size to be loaded on the fly. Same with graphics, where you go from having to render an appropriate sized area, to now several city blocks. Buildings get reduced to cubes with small textures smeared across them.
How does a game where you are a spy doing missions all over the world benefit from a seamless world? Are you going to walk to china?

I was in Hollow Earth for ten seconds, Mr Coward. I saw that 5 people had 5 different ideas of what HE was going to be, so I got out before the insanity. =0) Anyways, Mr Coward, if you're looking for me, you can find me at properlypromoted.com/vb
I'm sure if you look hard enough, you can find anything you want in that painting. Anyways, RMS wants this story to be called HIDDEN MUSIC CLAIMED IN GNU/LAST SUPPER.
They just renamed that section to mob wars. Otherwise it looks just like San Andreas. Marge suns around a place that looks just like the grove you start out at in GTA:SA, where CJ's house is.
I guess they are realizing that us console gamers don't want a machine for all the things that Sony is pushing it for. I just want to play the next iterations of all my favorite game series. No need for a super computer/miracle machine/foot massager/foreman grill.
I think 40gb is MORE than enough for my save games, and a 500 MB HOME download.
Something I would like to know, is if the USB ports will read memory cards, since the ports are now gone? I have a nice USB adapter to read SD cards. It would be nice to use that, or just a normal USB storage device.
Unless he was yet to copy it to a new device? He may have trashed his old HD, and bought a new one with the intent to restore the backup contents onto it. Then again, he's an old codger. His 'backup device' may be an old pickup truck, because he only drives in reverse at his age. The data was in the glove compartment.
This is exactly what GMail does, and yes, sometimes the funny ads that my mail conversations bring up do come up into the conversation. It's not a big deal. So what? The server matches key words in the body of my mails to keywords in their ad database, to humorous results.
Having something new change a conversation is not a new thing. It's really no different from the 'Guess where I'm calling you from!' type conversations when people first got their cell phones.
I always turn rumble off. I find it annoying, and I worry about what holding a rumbling controller for so long will do to my hands and wrists in the long term.
Now I'm 25 and I still haven't read it. I tried a few times and never even got to the halfway point, having given up out of boredom and apathy. 100 pages to tell me that a guy in a hood is following them on a horse through the woods, and a monster is standing outside their cabin.
This is not a knock on Jordan. Several people have told me how great the series was.
I've often had graphics problems on Linux Live CDs. They assumed my monitor could handle a much higher refresh by default, and gave me a flickering screen of doom.
Exactly. Who wants to think that at any second, some flying car could come falling out of the sky and landing directly on you? It would make a small crater.
Until we have flying buildings, we don't need flying cars to get where we are going.
I always tend to enjoy the newer remastered discs, or just plain modern discs over old CDs. The newer louder ones are much more enjoyable to listen to. They have more 'kick' to them, whereas the old ones sound weak to me now.
I hate Monster. Nothing ever works there. All the forms to fill out are always broken to hell. It's fun having to answer questions on forms when the part of the text that tells you what the question is about is cut off. It's always a treat when something I want to apply for can only be done through monster and I have to deal with a page full of script errors and missing text, or that won't accept Canadian data on a Canadian form because it's not valid US data. It's even better than it will only allow you to give an answer with numbers, where it's out of context. Binary must be in this year.
Just about the only thing that works correctly is the offer to join the Columbia House DVD club every 3 times a page loads.
So it's nice to hear they got fucked up the ass. May your bleeding asshole be front page news.
Perhaps they have a driver or hardware problem, when the sound card and network are built into the board, and the board is shitty, or just needs to be flashed.
I play audio while surfing the net and downloading all the time. It's what I do about 90% of the time. I've never seen any sudden performance loss when starting up some audio or video, and I also have built in lan and sound.
I've never had any performance loss in Vista period. It's runs silky smooth all the time, and I'm running on the minimum requirements. It was surprising to see it boot up and run faster than XP did on the other machine here with twice the specs.
I'll file this story under FUD, with all the other ones where the reporter likes to pretend it's still the blue screen of death Windows 98 days.
I'm not forgetting anything. I realize that any page gets locked down after repeated vandalism. But one being page being vandalized a lot, and several pages getting vandalized should be treated the same way. I also don't argue with your open case.
I think the default browsing mode of wikipedia for casual users should be pages that are known to be safe and factual. For those that want it, have the working copy that can be promoted to the default page when it's time.
You open what is supposed to be all the world's knowledge combined in a site, except that the policy is to treat it like a public bathroom. That's fine, but why is it news every time someone gets caught taking a shit in it?
It's fine to let people contribute, but most articles need to be locked down when they are completed, and then you submit stuff to be added for peer review or something. There is no reason why 8 year old Johnny needs to be editing the live version of a page on something he knows nothing about.
Is there enough new information on Elvis arriving, that his page needs to be open to live submissions from anyone 24/7/365?
Actually, those shitty ads don't tend to run any smoother on a top of the line box either. I just upgraded from an old 1.1 duron to an ahtlon 64 and they tend to have the same effect. Trying to render a ton of dynamically resized vector snowflakes in software will have that effect.
An easy way to fix this is to right click in the flash object and select low detail, but you can never have that option stick. It's set back to high every time a new flash object loads.

Yeah cool. The wikipedia of mapping. For when you want to sent up the creek literally.
Dude, you are pirates. They are looking for your ship, and therein, all your booty.

I've read about a restaurant that runs under the pay what you want model, and they were doing very well.

It's been 46 years since the release of Showgirls? I'll be damned.

You can see it right here.

I can barely fill my old 40gb drive.
What I want to hear about is reliability and longevity.

Only if it wanted to drop seeds on it's sister star.
