HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Typical. Just ban everything that could potential result in a negative context. No longer have to worry about it. Dust hands off.
Let's forget about all the positives that are now lost and the resulting negatives that will surely come about.
As a high school football coach I actually would love to see all 22 and yes you can show all 22 on film at once. It is called a wide angle and we use it to break down high school games all the time. Very possible to fit everyone in. We don't care to see details such as the blood and sweat flying off of people. Looking like little ants would be just fine for the purpose.
I'll make it easy. It's never appropriate to ask and expect a username and password from anyone. It doesn't take 45 days to figure that out. OK, maybe in the government it might. Better make the review process 180 days instead and create a committee dedicated to this issue.
Just to reiterate the obvious, this is because Confluence is a wiki...NOT a CMS. So saying Confluence is only 58% complete is untrue. It only makes up to 58% of a CMS comparison list. Which for a wiki is pretty good.
Funny, I just had this happen last night. The wife accidentally knocked it over when pulling out the drum kit as we were in the process of changing instruments for Rock Band 2. This caused it to start clicking like crazy. I tried to turn it off as soon as possible but it was too late! There goes my turn to dish out some serious Beastie Boys.
I'd like to be able to save certain setups so that when I startup it can open the appropriate apps, folders, etc automatically. I could potentially have several different dev setups, perhaps a gaming setup, a financial setup, etc.
Well, here's a clue: being an Engineer means that when you screw up, people die.
Being as that you are yet still a student I will let this statement slide with just a link to some infamous bugs where people have in fact died due to people screwing up.
Software controls many applications that are vital to sustaining life or that if gone awry could even threaten life. With your narrow definition of an engineer there is no doubt that there is such a thing as a Software Engineer. More so than you'd like to give credit for. I would expand your definition to "when you screw up, you screw other people". This is still not all encompassing but it's a step closer.
This is standard practice if your company does work with any part of the Federal Government as well in the US. Especially if you'll have any sort of contact with potentially sensitive data. I can see how this would be similar to a financial corporation. Not saying that standard practice makes it alright though.
Exactly, I've been on the email list that is supposed to keep you updated on any news for over 2 years and haven't received anything to this point. Of course, I forgot which email addressed I used since it's been so long.
This is a joke right? WeatherBug is really just ad/spyware. I wonder why they wouldn't let you use it at work...I'm sure you have about 20 icons on your taskbar. 3/4 of which you probably don't need/know what they do.
I'm not trying to imply foul-play. I'm sure that there are gifted people out there like yourself who can put together a good response quickly. I'm just confused right now by the timestamp of the news posting and the timestamp of your post. My guess right now is that the news posting timestamp is when everyone, including non-subscribers, is able to view it.
So the timestamp on the news posting is actually when EVERYONE gets to see it and not just subscribers?

I'm assuming that they have some sort of source control already but just make changes and upload them to their website without checking into source control first and making sure it's tested and ready.
"non source-controlled changes that get uploaded to our website when they aren't ready"
If that's the case then it's a matter of getting new procedures put in place. Good luck with that!
From the NotepadConf site: http://notepadconf.com/
"using the simple trick of Googling the first 8 digits of your credit card number" What are the first 8 digits of your credit cart number?

Found this petition to the Obama Administration created Sept 17 for prohibiting anything offensive of major religions: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/outlaw-offending-prophets-major-religions/94kL1tsN This is a dangerously slippery slope.

You can only report on the data that you have at hand. However, keep that in mind when trying to interpret the results.

Ironic
The plans cover five main areas -- geology, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering and aeronautical engineering

I wouldn't have turned into a ROCK GOD!! if it wasn't for this game.
Call me a dummy too then. The metaphor doesn't fit right. Close but no cigar. Close is only good in horseshoes and grenades.

How was this all formulated and typed within one minute of the news posting?
