I have another one but this is probably an obvious answer. How do you switch the order of (reorder) the minimized windows on the taskbar?

I'm interested in some way of saving the windows that I have open so that I can have all those programs open on command. It'd help for switching between different programming environments that use different programs, file paths, etc.
Using the golf analogy again you could tell a golfer to just buy a copy of Golf Digest instead of paying for lessons for a pro. However, 1 on 1 instruction is vastly superior in many areas such as in providing feedback that is hard to receive when trying to teach yourself. Also, a personal instructor can tailor sessions specifically to your needs. So if you want to improve your sniping ability (or your short game in golf) an instructor can tell you what and how to use certain tools and the environment to your benefit.
That theory has been around for awhile now. Has anyone found out if this actually holds up in practice? If so, what kind of numbers are we talking about here in regards to buying into a console franchise for the first time due to the library from past generations?
My thought is if they are buying it for the past generation they would most likely have already bought the old system. If they are now buying the latest generation it's likely that its due to the appeal of the new generation of technology and/or games. (numbers here would show the cost effectiveness of this method)
If it makes the machine cheaper to not have backward compatibility (which no doubt it would be) I'm all for it. I'm buying the machine for games that are designed for it. There's no problem with me with keeping an old system to play its games (except for having more clutter).
If they got their act together you wouldn't have anything to complain about and then life would be boring.
BTW - thanks for making my life not boring today.
Are you kidding me? This post is redundant? He posted at eactly the same time as the post above which is rated 5:Funny. I can see if it were a few minutes later after the 1,000th person posted their "haha, you can't figure out that $936 is MORE than $800" post.

I loved the original Tomb Raiders because of that manual gameplay. It took awhile to adjust to gameplay types like GTA after the fact, partly because I didn't want to give that up. I'd love to be able to go back jumping up and hanging and having to press a button to lift myself up. It simply worked. It didn't assume what I was trying to do which is a big plus. Because of that I could easily do something like hang and shuffle to the side in one attempt instead of trying to convince the system that I don't want to do a simple jump and pull up.
I completely agree on the camera though on the last iteration. That's what made me quit playing the game.
Ah, yeah it does. It potentially could impact a highly popular "casual" game. (I'm assuming you mean any type of game as this is what games.slashdot.org is about) Will Sony continue building upon the great franchise that Zipper has created or will they turn it into just another item in the regurgitation machine that spits out almost the exact same game year after year while managing to somehow ruin the gameplay?
I don't know how else you would like to categorize this article. Surely it's not an "Apple: story (thank god) or an "Ask Slashdot".
People have set unattainable expectations on what Star Wars should be. Nothing that could ever be made would ever quench their thirst.
Instead of going into a movie with preconceived notions of what you think it should be (this hardly ever works with anything) go into the movie with an open mind and just enjoy the damn show for once! Over-critiquing just takes the fun out.
Its not uncommon for me to have at least one TV on while gaming besides the one I'm playing on. Sometimes it may be two depending on what games are on TV. There are some games like SOCOM II where you have alot of dead time to watch TV during the game.
Have every vehicle installed with a device that interacts with a Traffic control light so that it would act like a load balancer. If no one else is by the light then a vehicle would get through without having to stop. Otherwise the light would see how many requests it is getting and let the appropriate group go.
If you would ever thing of buying something over the phone then you wouldn't sign up on the do-not-call list. But many people like myself won't even give these telemarketers anytime to sell because it pisses us of too much. Its a waste of our time and money and their time and money. They can be more productive as a result by only calling people who actually don't mind it.
One area where code generation is very handy is in creating java code to interface with a specific database. Based on the type of interface I want (select, insert, update, delete) and the database I can easily create the classes in minutes saving me days of valuable time. In my case I use this to convert data between 2 databases which could be any number of totally different databases. Now only the conversion procedure needs to be coded (for now).

Unless you are a superstar rookie. I came out of college into a small company (5 when I joined) and is now at about 10. Most of those folks were support folks so I was able to come in and pretty much lead the charge on the development side. In order to be able to do that though you need to be able to spend huge amounts of time on just work and be able to teach yourself everything and anything.
The only time I deal with the politics is when in contact with outside large companies.
I'm not flaming here. Just telling the facts. UNUSED carbohydrates will turn to fat. Carbohydrates to not turn to fat if used. Carbos are crucial for energy. Especially for highly intensive activities like sprinting or playing basketball. But since you are in an office all day and don't work out definitely watch the carbs since you'll probably never burn it off in a day. At the very least don't have anything high in carbs within 3 hours of going to sleep.

The rumble is a great way to provide immediate feedback. Now I won't know when rocks are chasing me down a hill or when I run over a prostitute.

Because you may all live spread out across the country or the world. I've been dreaming of a football game doing this since Madden '93.

It is 7 +/- 2. So anywhere between 5 to 9 items for a normal individual. http://webword.com/moving/memory.html/
