    I agree,
The new transcriber input option in Windows Mobile 6 is pretty awesome, the fact that it recognizes my scribble pretty probably 95% accurate impresses me.

and I will take my Samsung SCH-i760 over the iPhone any day.

  2. The average ipod user on Ballmer Says iPod Users are Thieves · · Score: 1

I provide support for a certain digital music player and application that goes along with it. I deal with way more requests for how to rip a cd then how to add "My Shared Folder" into the music library. I think Ballmer does not realize that for every teeny bopper raping kazaa there are probably 3 professional responisble people who are using legally purchased music. Or maybe the teeny boppers just do not call support...

  3. Re:I hate this guy on Cringely: MS To Hurt Linux Via USB Enhancements · · Score: 2, Insightful

What you should probably consider is that Cringely has been doing this sort of thing (writing columns about and predicting future trends and strategies in the computer industry) for a very long time. He has a lot of people who are "in the know" about emerging technologies and trends and when he says things like this he is correct maybe not most of the time but enough that people give head to what he says. Go back in his archives and check out his predictions for the coming year and see how many things he is right about. I have no particular love for Cringley either (mostly the tinge of egoism in every column) but you gotta give it to the guy, he tends to be right.

  7. Re:Temperature woes on PowerBooks & iBooks Get Speed Bumped · · Score: 1

If you notice Apple and many other companies no longer refer to Portable computers as laptops. They refer to them as "Portable Computers" because you are not supposed to use them on your lap because of the heat and the fact that it prevents the machine from disappating as much heat (especially powerbooks) Also FYI if you want to make it generate less heat you can go into your energy saver system preferences and reduce the processor performance (you may feel less manly but it will generate less heat and give you more battery life)

If one conults the guide: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." "But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves that you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. Q.E.D.." "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.
