Did they cheat somehow? Is there some reason that these companies should NOT have been allowed to vote? Are any of them not legitimate companies?
No? Then STFU and stop whining.
This just confirms that Sony is in full-blown panic mode... They keep talking about the long-term viability of the PS3, and I can see why since it is a pretty nice piece of hardware. But they're obviously very worried about their near-term prospects so I could easily see how they'd cut another $100 before the end of the year if things don't turn around quickly.
Because of DRM issues they stopped doing that a while ago. Now they make an effort to return your repaired box to you. If it's broken beyond repair, only then do you get a refurb.
It'll never happen. Allowing users to create their own content and distribute it to other players would completely destroy the ability of game companies like EA, Ubisoft, and Microsoft to overcharge for half-assed map packs, expansion modules, downloadable songs, etc.
Let's give people financial incentive to create bigger, better, and less detectable aimbots with the purpose of scamming people.
It doesn't seem like people need any incentive to do that now...Although yeah this will just make it 100x worse. This is a problem on the poker sites too - and only the really greedy and/or stupid ones get caught.
I don't think it would be open to vehicle traffic. Instead they'd likely operate it like the channel tunnel where you and your vehicle are loaded onto a train and carried through.
They don't have to separate the guitar tracks from the vocals because these are not original recordings..None of them are even performed by the original bands - they're all covers done specifically for the game. Plus these songs were already done for the PS2 version of Guitar Hero so it's not like they had to re-record or do new new charts for any of them.
Game developers have never been shy about demanding the latest and greatest hardware to run their games on. I don't seem them coding to DX9 for much longer.

Processing overhead would explan reduced game performance, but not the need for a lower clock speed.
The ESRB is exactly what you're saying it should be: About the ESRB

Apparently the RIAA downloads a lot of porn.

Talk to your ISP. They can set it up so the IP addresses at the main location can be rerouted to the DR site almost instantly.
If there are benchmarks, then the terrorists win.

Kind of a pain if the wrong person gets their hands on a key....
Well, since you're already on Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bering_Strait_bridge

Both of those songs were included in the original game.. ALL of the songs in the downloadable content packs are covers.

I'd like to know what Ars Technica WOULD consider outrageous...
Anyway, here's where to send feedback to Red Octane about their pricing: http://www.redoctanegames.com/0_contact.asp

Maybe he's talking about the Fruit Fracker from Battlestar Galactica.
They are definitely doing cross-platform matchmaking. FASA and Microsoft announced a while back that Shadowrun will have this feature.
It's called SuperFetch and it puts your RAM to good use when it's not needed for anything else. You can disable it if you'd like.
I'm running it natively. It runs great.
Vista is very zippy on my 512mb iMac.
