    Wel.. I have a question.

    On a nforce chipset vit nvidia geforce 4 MX card, must I use agpgart + nvidia-agp modules or the agp support provided by the nvidia proprietary driver ?

    (This 2.6.1 doesn't bring me the framebuffer on my geforce4 mx.. I don't understand :( And I can't compile the kernel with bootsplash..)

    Thx indeed... That's the goal of free software. I want to be able to redistribute it to my friends. I do it a lot with Linux. Can I with MacOSX ? I've never changing the code of the systeme itself, but I've already changed the code of some software I use. Yes, it was tiny things, just to fit my need. But is the previous post saying that Free Software are only for skilled people ?

    Are they going to release OS-X under a free license ? If not, it's not very intersting since you cannot hope to hack the code and redistribute it..

    Well, I follow your link and I've found http://www.cfy.org/

    I believe that those computer use only free software (as in beer) to reduce the cost..
    So it's must be a GNU/Linux system (well, I think because it's the most famous Free OS for now). But I can't find any information on the website about this...

    There's no place for two DE in UserLinux... So there's a choice. If KDE was choosen, all gnome's fans will stand up !

    I talk a lot about the Desktop and I continue to receive comments about that.

    Well ! everyone has is own choice.. We don't have to speak so long about it !
    Who is the winner of the Gnome/KDE war ? MS Windows of course ! Like .doc is the winner of the .sxw/.abw war !

    I'm really a Gnome fan.
    I was thinking that KDE was a bit bloated, a bit ofuscated..
    I explain my choice in this Perfect Desktop text

    But I must agree that KDE 3.2 seems to be really on the good way and I think I will try it the day of the release. Good Job KDE people. I really like the plastic theme. IMHO, keramik was "fat".

    Well, I find this screenshot really interesting.
    Don't you think that Gnumeric is more "easy " than Kspread ? There's two rows of icons in Gnumeric : File icons and actions icons.
    In Kspread is not so easy, you have icons anywhere.. that's really the bad point of KDE for me and why I prefer Gnome for beginners. Think about it.

    Anyway.. Good job guys !

    PS : anyway, gnome and KDE aren't anything ! I can't live without FVWM .

    The Prince Laurent, son of Albert, King of the Belgians, had the same problems :)

    For his wedding, rings were in the car (the same BMW as the thai story). Nobody could open the car because the computer was crashed.

    So, security take axes to destroy the armored window ! ! ! Funny isn't it ?

    I don't know why, but my Frame Buffer doesn't work with any of 2.6test kernel !

    I have a lot of white lines moving on the screen like on a very old TV with noise.

    I don't understand : it's a GeForce2 with a Via chipset.

    Imagine, for example, a fedora/debian distribution, easy to install (as redhat), easy to use (as redhat), easy to admin (as debian), with rpm/deb compatibility. it can be the ultimate desktop OS.
    Do you think it can be true ?

    Remember to have an open mind !

    Try others applications, try many applications ! Never say "I wan THIS application" or you will maybe loose a better apps.

    I you want to run Outlook, Internet Explorer and MS office, I don't see why you would switch to another OS ! !

    There' two kind of people :
    - people that want to STAY ! Those people are static. They think that it can be worse. They just follow others people...

    - people that want more. They think that it can be better. Those people always look for the best.. Those people SEARCH !

    So, if you want to search for better thing, say "I want to switch to another OS than Windows but I cannot since I use this and this software". Maybe someone know an answer or mayber someone will work on it.

    If you want to stay, please don't post to say it, it's your choice, not the choice of people who are using tools like crossover office.

    Will we have a replacement for X ? Will we have the choice when installing Linux (like KDE or Gnome) ?

    Will we have a simple and light software for home users and a big, with network support, for the IT ?

    I'm not sure to really understand what this news means.

    Here, OOo 1.1 is used professionally on a celeron 266 with 160 Mo of RAM. It starts a bit slowly, but it works fine. MS-Office 2000 doesn't work under win98 on that machine.
