Not alone. It did the same thing to me. I think it has something to do with the fact the HTML on his page is mangled (no opening/closing html tags, doesn't even think about closing the body)

This article contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things (and light sources). This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.

  8. Why is this news? on Longest Chemical Name: 64,060 letters · · Score: 1

Seriously, though - Why is this on the front page of Slashdot? It isn't news in the least (pages are created all the time on Wikipedia, and just because this one is related to Science doesn't make it news), and although it is slightly interesting, it's also inaccurate - "Methionylthreonylthreonyl...isoleucine" is the longest, coming in at an obscene 189,819 letters, not including dashes, leaving "Methionylalanylthreonyl...leucine" behind at a pathetic 64,060 letters. I repeat - why is this news?

"Is it just me... but does anyone else find it ironic that there isn't a torrent available for downloading Bittorrent?"

Not really. Either A) You don't have a copy, in which case the link is useless, or B) You're upgrading, in which case it's probably a wise idea to get a fresh copy, just in case there's a slight "bug" in the last version (it's a contrived example, but I'm using it).

  19. Eventually on Are Betas Taking On Lives of Their Own? · · Score: 1

Imagine if a new rollercoaster opened downtown, and they offered free rides. One day, the rails break, and twenty people die - however, the company that built the railroad takes no blame, as the riders were simply "testing" a "beta" of the rollercoaster, and thus knew full well something like this could have happened. Yes, extremist. Same train of thought, however.
