Extensions, Extensions, Extensions. Why doesn't someone make some of these features part of the main suite? Many extensions don't mesh 100% with other ones. Extensions are a great idea, don't get me wrong. But I run FF on multiple computers - I do not want to re-download and set up 5-10 extensions on every box, but that's what's needed. Opera offers many of these features out of the box. Is there some kind of Überextension pack that I can just install - or, even better, one Überextension?
Well, Mr. Anonymous Coward, since you've been proven to be pretty schizophrenic (or perhaps Multiple Personality Disorder) it's very fitting to say "question on our minds." Unless of course you happen to be a British king.
Without people paying that high of a price, then they wouldn't retail it at that price. Also, if nobody buys it at that price, then it'll drop substantially over a short amount of time. Also, you need to take into account the cost of R&D and production of the card itself. There's really nobody to 'blame' here. Still, as of this point in time, one thousand dollars for a graphics card is too much. Hell, I spent $150 on a 9700, and it's suting me very well. It's not top of the line, but it still makes the latest games pretty enough for me.
"Yeah, I mean over the phone, yeah, he looked at it. He says that it sounded like my hobbit that turns the crank case is depressed and needs therapy. We need get us a new hobbit. They's from the land beyond time. Land beyond time is also gonna hook us up with a unicorn for the radiator. I ain't even gonna tell ya about that haunted air conditioner. Plus, the air filter? That's made of plutonium. That's gonna involve Superman, so...ya know, plus shipping from Krypton. And the cow..jumped over the moon."
And besides, Social Engineering is still the best way to obtain passwords and sensitive material. Here's a great (and true) example.
I was sitting in class one day (I am a High School Senior) and talking with a bunch of my friends. I don't remember the exact context, but I mentioned something about Social Security Numbers (the context possibly being college). I was mostly shocked to find the conversation switching to my group of friends telling each other the numbers and comparing them for similarity and silliness. If I had wanted to, I would have had 5-7 SSNs for which to use as I saw fit. What's especially scary is how easy it would have been.
Have you ever used VirtualPC? The performance hit would be absolutely massive, and would most likely be unplayable. The GF3->DX->ATI conversion just adds even more overhead.
Exactly. I'm seriously doubting the backwords compatability for Xbox 360. Not only is it going to have to emulate an x86 (which is damn hard, try running VirtualPC on a Mac) it needs to dynamically recompile the Nvidia GeForce 3 assembly back to DirectX. Caustik managed to get that working fairly well for his XBox emulator - but mind you it's still x86-x86, so all he had to do was hook the XBox's BIOS.
Allright, just tested it with Firefox 1.00, seems to not be vulnerable. Looking at the page code, it appears to have something to do with how XPIs are installed. This means it is Firefox Specific. Anyone else have different versions of FF to try?
Has this already been fixed in the latest-trunk builds (aka 1.03 specific) or is this a firefox-wide bug? Also, does this affect (effect? I can never remember) other iterations, like Mozilla, Netscape, K-Melon, etc?
Thank you. I'm sure you will be/are a good father/mother.
The comments. :)

If people believe it's worth it, they'll buy it. You don't think it's worth it, don't buy it.

Wow... You know what that just said to me?

Because it's much easier to be litigious than to actually take action, eh?

Bingo. Back when the Dreamcast came out, had Sega included a DVD player, it would have been a killer system. Today, that functionality is moot.
Becuase God knows a corporation would only create ONE PAC. I mean, seriously.
Wait...
Did you buy that ID on eBay?
Yes.

*Hint to mods - that was a joke.*

There's... a bug... in firefox?? *gasp* *hack* *cough* I think... I may be having a heart attack... They told me it was so much better! *wheeze*
Wasn't it ruled unconstitutional because congress can't give the president powers he doesn't have?
So... can you be evil? Can you mow down civilians?
You're not the real slashpope. That one is This Guy. But still.
Is it any good? This is online only, correct? Is it anything like Freedom Force? It must be good with four expansions.
No.
