Obviously, I'm being sarcastic. I think that's an excellent post.
I went to junior high school in a converted prison building. Complete with the courtyards and guard towers! My little town didn't need a new building for school.
I'd love to see the budgets split like that. I went to high school at a place where athletics ran the show. We had a "stadium" that rivaled many colleges. Yet a 2.5 (out of 4.0) GPA was something only brainiacs had.
Wouldn't it be really neat to run some tests before you build it?
For instance, how cool would it be to have a simulation that could test a weapon being mishandled, or shot. At every single point from every possible angle at every possible velocity?
It would be nice to know that there is a possibility of detonation if it were to drop off of a loading rack.
As I understand it, in I Robot's case, the reason the story diverged so badly is because it wasn't based on the book at all.
The studio owned the name "I Robot" and used it on a similar story. The movie that came out under that title would have been called something else if they hadn't already owned that particular name.
How much expansion do you see in the future for your network equipment?
I know I hate it when my office has to be torn down because the budgeting people never foresaw the growth we'd see. So they wouldn't put in the circuitry for the future. And when the future arrived, the walls had to come down for the power and networking to be installed all over again.

Ok, you're right. That is, unless Apple is using Oompa Loompas to make them. Then, they might be free. The materials are all derived from recycling old Newtons and glued together with the tears of Apple fanatics upset about the $200 price drop.

He said the servers were overwhelmed this morning and that officials had no idea that so many people would try the website.
Yeah, who could have seen 30,000,000 people trying to buy tickets to the championship series of the only baseball team for nearly 1000 miles in any direction? Boston fans certainly wouldn't want those tickets either.
They didn't put anything on their site for hours to let people know there had been a crash. Just a series of timeout errors.
And I got lucky enough to take Sequential I, and move in the middle of my Junior year, in the middle of Sequential II. So when I got to the next state...
Huh, you don't know shit. Go take Algebra. So I aced the first half of class, since that was all covered in SeqI, and was lost in the 2nd half since I never had the rest of geometry, etc.
There are multiple stories of people who were halfway through the update getting hosed by an inbound phone call.
That would be a massive OOPS on Apple's part, and will surely be remedied in a future build. You and every other rational person on Earth would expect it to disable the radio. I'm guessing that they forgot.:-)
Go Team Venture!
You must be mad!

Just be careful that they don't brand you when you get there.
Futurama is such a wonderful show.
"Rape, murder, arson and rape."
"You said rape twice."
"I like rape."
You're probably right.
The supercomputers that were doing that kind of testing that I saw were really just eye candy.
I can't believe I fell for it.
I'm just glad somebody posted anonymously to prove me wrong.
Lets say you have designed a nuclear weapon.

I've got the 1.42 GHz PPC Mini, and Leopard has been great, and with 10.5.3 it got even better when they fixed a graphics issue.
If Microsoft and some websites don't want viewers, fine. Their loss.
I think it's reasonable to only support the current and previous version of an OS. Microsoft, Red Hat and others all have that model (usually).
Oh well, c'est la vie.
That sucks.
It requires the Silverlight 2.0 plugin which says it won't work on a pre-Intel Mac.
The pre-Intel Macs only get Silverlight 1.0 per Microsoft's site.
Nice. Now I have to upgrade a whole computer to view a freakin' website?

The stuff I've read says that 1.1.3 is going to be fairly substantial.
Supposedly you're going to be able to move icons on the iPhone's "desktop", set icons for favorite websites, etc.
But no, no Flash. Which makes no sense. For the people worried about battery life / CPU power, they could make Flash an opt-in setting.
1.1.3 is already in testing. Nobody uses the date on their phone anyway, so they'll just wait for 1.1.3.1. :-)
