Agreed. The Museum Campus (Shedd, Field, Adler) is just made of win. And definitely do the Museum of Science and Industry, though it's a little further down the road.
but it's not bad...It's not great, but it's not bad. It's an improvement over Vista, but it's not as intuitive as XP was. I'm happier with my OS X machine, but that's just my personal preference. I can see where they've tried to reduce some of the more egregious dumbassery that Vista introduced, but in a lot of ways, for the average end user, it really is just a Service Pack for Vista, with some bells and whistles and cleaning up. It's what Vista likely should have been. YMMV.
Bear in mind, however, that Disneyland has been launching fireworks from their property from pretty much all of their nearly-50 year history. In 1955, the area was far from being a densely residential zone. I can see homeowners from 1955 having a case against the park, but people who've moved in since that time knew exactly what they were buying...a house/condo near a theme park renowned for its fireworks displays.
You'll forgive me if I don't have any sympathy for attempts to collect damages from an issue they undoubtedly knew about since the house was first placed on the market. Whether you feel the Mouse is a 800-lb. gorilla or not, you've got to concede this would be a pretty frivolous lawsuit.
personally, I'd rather see a company I invested in strive for a modicum of social responsibility rather than the relentless pursuit of the almighty dollar at the expense of the aforementioned trait.
And yes, I do own Disney stock. this doesn't bother me one bit.
Well, I've noticed Firefox doesn't do too well with such a link, but IE handles it just fine. Dunno about other Mozilla browsers or Opera, though.

point of clarification: Steve Dallas only got close to his feminine side after being abducted by aliens and having his brain frazzled (or basically having his personality inverted.)
wouldn't prolonged still images result in burn-in on a projection tv, though? or has that issue been dealt with in newer models, and I'm hopelessly behind the tech curve?
Yep, we had to hook up the owner's IPod to the sound system at the restaurant I work at.
I never thought I'd say this, but Van Morrison got a little old after a bit.
then he must just adore you. you'll notice the apostrophe in the original post. that means the author chose to contract the word "Republican" into "'publican." To make it simpler for you, that means he dropped the "Re-" and inserted the apostrophe so that people would know that it was shortened. before you criticize for no reason, try reading. and before you use the Bible to back up your illogical attack, try thinking.
er...unless I'm missing something very big, I think mayhaps you mean Christopher Lee... Christopher Lloyd was Doc Brown in Back to the Future, ya know...
not trying to be an ass, just seeking clarification...if Lloyd had wanted to do LotR, that would've been interesting, if not especially crap-tacular. don't get me wrong, he's a good actor, just utterly wrong for LotR, IMO.
you might look into "Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom" by Cory Doctorow. I believe it's been slashdotted before, but worth a re-mention. don't worry, it's not all cutesy, with prancing Goofy's and whatnot. Dark look at the future, with a concept of "whuffie" that rather nicely mirrors slashdot's "karma"

that, and isn't a key characteristic of laser light that it's coherent, all the troughs and peaks of the wave lined up? from what I remember of light in high school physics, it doesn't sound as though these waves will be coherent, just at the same (altered) frequency.
Obviously, IANAP, just an actor who loved his HS level physics class...

Certainly works on my Airport.

those are the rules that we've just made up. And we're backing it up with this M16 loaned to us by Michael Powell's father Colin.

perhaps not the coal lobby, but the petroleum lobby certainly can tell politicians when to jump and how high...
If I had mod points, you'd get one for the Eddie Izzard reference. maybe next time.
really? I thought it looked like Arlo from "Arlo and Janis" doing his "Karnak the Magnificent" schtick in a mirror. just my $0.02
*prepares a nice fruit salad for the troll*
not much, apart from non-offensive, not remotely accurate, happy-feel-good pro-US, everyone else sucks propaganda.
erm... *coughs* not a car. it's a cottage, with smoke coming from the chimney. if you check, in two distinct shots, the "car" hasn't moved.
