a hell of a lot of folks still use win 98 and outlook express x.xx
Windows XP seems kindof immune by default, and are definately getting better in my view, but until the great majority of users upgrade this problem will persist.
Thats me sold!
I didnt even know I was looking for a DFS until
I read that - I'm going to have a play with this and see where it gets me.
I especially like the inter-operability.
wot google ads?
im sorry - i treat adverts on screen like adverts in magazines - I have internet settings set to not show moving animations or flash - so any adverts I do see are static - just like a magazine.
anything I click is because it has caught my attention - be it commercial or relivent.
Theres an Online virtual game called There!
it uses a rendering engine which allows the effect you speak of - its great fun and the quality is good as well.
Also - the game Black & White was also in a similar format.
I got a nice surprise when i followed through to the article - it was QUICK - much faster than anything else posted - does this mean we have found a cure for the/. effect? or is this an anomoly?
either way congrats to the admin (so far;))
Are you using the normal English misspelling of couple? or is that the RIAA sanctioned version, where 2 = 960 after taking into effect the warp drive capabilities of a 48x burner:P
I just had a similar set of feelings recalling past events - it was in a recent/. post asking for games that changed your life - I was instantly teleported back 20years and have tasted, smelt, and seen things long since forgotten.
Our minds are amazing devices, not only can they heal pain, but they can give everything a rose tint.
Good luck with your project and I hope it provides a valuable resource, not only to you but your descendents as well:)
Some magazine has a big story with pictures in their print edition a few weeks back....
^ thats a joke; but seriously what happens where publishers display different content to purchasers of the hard copy over the web version, and how will newsagents sell their wares.
I for one mainly pick up magazines that interest me by browing through my local shop.
You can picture it now - some quiet old lady whos doting son has set her up with a computer.
Opens the mail one morning to find a "tax" bill for 1000's of dollars for emails sent from her account.
Once she recovers from her heart attack, the son goes to check - as it happens, Grandma's curiosity got the better of her, and she opened that email attachment from Elvis..........
When I was 8 years old, with my Rubber keyed spectrum, my mum decided to broaden our horizons, and bought a book full of basic games.
One of these was called "DracMaze" a 3d spectacular with monsters and ghouls waiting around each corner - or so the book told us.
She spent around 40 days typing this in - the computer never got disconnected or powered down, because the basic code had errors, and it wouldn't save. In the end we never got this game to work, but the determination to fix problems and solve things has lead me into a career as software developer, and I look back on that experience as pivotal to my current self.

The wicked infidel file traders are downloading nothing but speaches from our holy Hilary and movies of slippers."
a human listener is almost always required to validate that a crime has occured - in the billions of songs already traded allowing a rampant program to simply delete on sight filenames that "look" dodgy could cause MUCH more disruption than a song you would hear on the radio anyway.
J'kar from the naan homework is starring in the episode I'm watching now - it sent a shiver down my spine at first because you hear him before you see him - most spooky indeed.
the episode is Cogenitor by the way, and I know my alien (and earthbound!) spelling is awful.
sod new hairdo's - I'm watching "Cogenitor" episode now, and ive just heard t'pol ask Commander Tucker to "download these films and transfer them to the Viseans' database"
I cant wait to see the episode when the massive MPAA mothership comes into battle with Enterprise
Jack Valenti at the helm - torpedo bays stuffed full of lawyers - communications officers spamming all frequencies
i listen to a modern medium called the radio, I also watch T.V every now and then - i see and hear the same music and videos all day long there.
The internet just gives me time shifting so I dont have to listen to The Dixie chicks or whichever other crap is on.
This looks awesome - in the picture as seen here Military its about the volume of my 19" monitor - if not slightly larger.
This might not help us to be more productive in the office, but it certainly will help with graphic design.
its also visual basic.
I was under the assumption that for now at least its restricted to Windoze.
somebody please tell me I'm wrong though - im looking for a way over to linux, and happen to like coding in VB.

;)
it clearly says that super large multi TB capacity drives are sheduled for release 6months after the flying car goes live
^ lol - thats just evil....
;)
note to self: when i dont want something to happen - make sure i dont tell everyone on slashdot
i thought a single cd cost around $255,000 to produce?
or is that just an RIAA myth

truly shocking!
Hacking DHL and redirecting their precious cargo elsewhere would probably cause enough of a riot........
