The Wired article perpetuates the same old tiresome mistake, that is, that the term "bug" originated from a moth found in a 1947 computer.
Are we reading the same article?
It says that the Toyoya Prius joins the club of buggy computers, "a club that began in 1947 when engineers found a moth in Panel F, Relay #70 of the Harvard Mark 1 system" and "the moth was trapped, removed and taped into the computer's logbook with the words: "first actual case of a bug being found."".
The article doesn't say that this was the first occurance ever of a bug (i.e. hardware failure because of an animal). You cheeky slashdotter:)
so even if your subwoofer reproduces frquencies below 20hz you will never know it.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Take any sine generator (eg. Steinberg Wavelab has one) and generate a sine wave with a single frequency of 5hz, or 6hz, or 7hz, or anything you want.
It's actually fun finding the resonant frequency of your house/apartment/student's cardboard box. Don't do it too long or it WILL break stuff. You've been warned.
[?] digital input for recording. preferably straight to flac, but wav is OK [?] flac and maybe ogg playback. ogg looks already slated, flac is pretty much a requirement for me [?] at least 24bit support. sample rates up to 96 KHz would be nice, but 48 is fine [.] digital and RCA and 1/8" mini headphone outputs [?] at least 20 gigs of space, more is always welcome [X] the ability to view a text file [?] random playback by album, not just by track [X] good battery life at least 4 hours and easily replaceable batteries or something so I can get another 4 hours of use when I'm not near electricity
You're looking for a digital recorder, not a music player. Why the 24bit support? Are you doing pro audio?
Anyways, I sold my ipod mini and ordered a gp2x. It doesn't come with any storage space whatsoever, but has a CompactFLASH extension port, a TV out, two USB2.0 ports, a serial-like extension port, 1/8" mini headphone output, exchangable AA batteries, and 3.5" LCD screen. It runs Linux natively and it's only $200US.
Too much circulation makes the price go down: The more you are seen and heard from, the more common you appear. If you are already established in a group, temporary withdrawal from it will make you more talked about, even more admired. You must learn when to leave. Create value through scarcity.

It's the IT department generating the revenue. When was the last time you booked a flight in a travel center or talked to a customer representative? Thought so...
But from a purely financial standpoint, if you're just in it for the money, there is a line where you'll make more money managing teenagers at a fast food place.
Guess what, jackass. Why should I not deserve a marginally higher paycheck writing (entertainment) software than someone managing teenagers at Burger King? (Which boils down to EA's work environment anyways.)
If they truly TRULY loved what they were doing, they would have set up shop and starting doing it for themselves. That's dedication. Dedication is not being hyped into a industry.
This mindset infuriates me. Apparently you have to work for less than minimum wage nowadays to be considered dedicated. What a big stinking pile of horseshit.
Like Honda Civic owners, we have enjoyed a rich ecosystem of aftermarket products that pay dividends on our iPod investment.
Ah yes, the low-torque high-RPM SCREAMing engines, fartcan mufflers, big-ass and ugly-as-ms-windows rear spoilers, 1000 watts audio system with 3cm tweeters and 30000ccm sub-woofers. Yes, that is exactly what I do to my iPod, NOT.
Comparing an iPod to a Honda Civic is insulting the iPod. (Event though their engines spin at around the same RPMs).;)

I call it dunch. It's the sound it makes when it hits the bowl at 3am in the morning ;)
I just download the crack from the Internet. :P

It's going to be syrupeh business.[1]

No, I am not affiliated with them.
The gp2x might just be what you're looking for. Doesn't have wireless, but full disclose. That reminds me of something...
:>
No wireless. Less space than a Nomad. Lame.
Nietzscraft would be more appropiate ;)
We were able to build flawlessly the machines that run our code. Why don't the machines go belly-up once a day or so?
It's full of... dust?
I guess you could say that they excel at what they're doing. ;)
Keep your mouth shut. I can't herd those jokes anymore.
That would be RatHat ;)
A diff on the raw video data should be able to give you a good enough reference to find the difference (pun intended) in the copy protection scheme.
Law 16: Use Absence to Increase Respect and Honor
Please stop doing that. It's confusing!

If you are a self-proclaimed geek or nerd and you haven't seen this movie, then you are a failure as geek or nerd. :)

Comma deliberately ommitted.
