If you are going to make posts like this at least know what you are talking about. Entourage and the OS X version of outlook are two different products. See the Subject below in the apple section about converting over email and quickbooks from winodws to mac. I think I know a little about the subject.
Let me make this clear. There is a program called OUTLOOK that runs on OS X. THIS PROGRAM ONLY WORKS WITH EXCHANGE SERVERS. IT IS NOT ENTOURAGE, NOR DOES IT MIMIC ANY OF THE FUNCTIONALITY OF ENTOURAGE. HERE LET ME FIND THE LINK FOR YOU.
Hey, here is a quote from that web page. -- Read about the new features of Outlook 2001 for MacÂâ" the premier messaging and collaboration client that enables seamless collaboration between Macintosh and Microsoft Windows® operating systems through Microsoft Exchange Server-based e-mail services.
How about another quote from the FAQ?
Do I need to have an Exchange Server to use Outlook 2001?
Yes. Outlook 2001 is designed to be used as a client to the Microsoft Exchange Server.
Yes there is an outlook ported for OSX but it strictly works with Exchange servers, no imap, pop or anything else
You have it BACKWARDS. It supports the standard protocals but only works with Exchange on a limited basis. Again, Microsoft limitining the Mac access Windows infrastructture jus to make things difficult.
How do i have that backwards? Thats what I said it did.
as for MS releasing IE to kill netscape, the whole world knows that to be true, but the fact of the matter is, the product is free. it doesnt matter how it became free. businesses have to make decisions every day based on the present.
I'm not an MS advocate, just stating some possible reasons behind business decisions.
This is probably in line with what they are doing on the windows platform as well. They stated earlier this week(maybe last) that there will be no more major releases of IE, it will only be upgraded as the operating systems are upgraded.
With that being the case, it doesnt seem like there would be a need/reason to continue development of the product on other platforms.
Also pointing out what other people have said:
its a free product, so why would a business compete over it.
Safari is much better/faster
MS doesnt have to make software for apple if they dont want to, there is no iLife suite for windows.

Quark is a layout program. Photoshop is a photo/image editing program. Just because they are used by the same people/in the same industry, doesn't mean they do the same things.
well maybe not, but its great that you posted this link. I had signed up to intuit's "we'll email you when we have this product" list, but funny, i didnt get the email.
50% of all the people that try and read an NY times story and are faced with the registration option, decide to NOT go through with the registration and leave the site. This has been the case since 1999 and they have opted to keep the registration based on the argument that they serve a "quality audience" rather than sheer numbers. I don't know if this stat has been published, but its known within the New York Times Digital company.
Independent labels and their success will never go away. There will always be music that major labels have no interest in, and will be put out by smaller, independent record labels.
And there will always be people that don't listen to the music that is on the radio.
i realize there is no box fee, and that's nice. But I don't consider that to be saved money. saved money, is money you earn, and put in the bank. No box fee is just an excuse to spend the money on something else.
If there is a trial, I'll give it a shot, but like I said, I just don't have the time to play games like this and also justify other monthly bills like xbox live(all be it paid annually) and phantasy star online.
But 13.95 is just too steap to try and see if its a good game. Considering how many other time drains (read: video games) I'm currently playing, while also trying to work a job.
I was just looking thru the apple store. Airport cards are options. You have to pay extra for them. I'm guessing many people have their macs shipped without a wireless card.
Apple doesnt care about the low-end market? Then why do they market there computers as quality at a low price so much?
You are correct that apple doesn't build "low end" machines, but they are getting close. A 600 Mhz G3 with 128 MB of ram isn't exactly a screamer.
There is a better interview with the creators of homestar on www.centerfuse.net. Better questions, with better answers. No by much, but its still a better interview.
I have an Emachine running 3 feet away from an "equivalent" HP. No performance difference.
If you think brand name matters in the PC world, then you are obviously clueless.
no, I thought it was the same means of video format/compression, not the same means of time expiration. hah ha ha im a clown, ha ha ha, look at my big red nose and big red feet
This is pretty confusing. Even for someone like myself who has downloaded the DivX codec and have watched downloaded movies using the codec. I always thought that old rental format was just re-incarnated for another use via file sharing.
Divx was created as a means of dvd rentals on the first generation of DVD players. I think circuit city came up with the format. Get the disc, watch it for a week, then it wouldnt work anymore, so you threw it away. My friend has a DVD player like 4 years ago that played Divx discs.
I purchased the adapter off ebay because they were scarce in the stores i went to. Few carried them at all and the stores that did (EB) said when they get them in they get them in small numbers. The problem I experienced was odd, the inital "configuration connection" succeeded.
When I would try to play a game it would "connect" within seconds, but would hang 99% of the time when trying to download the user agreement. This happened with Socom, Twisted Metal Online, and also the Madden 2003 demo that came with the CD.
I have the same cable modem/linksys 4 port router that thousands of others have. Maybe the adapter was faulty, but I wasn't going to jump thru hoops to get another one.
because when I had my PS2 with network adapter I was never able to successfully play a game of SOCOM online. As I wrote in another post in this thread, I had a lot of problems with the PS2 network adapter and sony support seemed to careless whether or not I got online. After all, it wasn't going to make them any more money if I got it working or not.
My solution was to sell the PS2, get xbox with xbox live, Ghost Recon and now play that online.
now its just a matter of releasing games that support it. I have the Gamecube Broadband adapter and play Phantasy Star Online daily. It took about 4 seconds to configure the cube for network play.
Sadly, the nintendo website lists no games that plan on supporting online play as of now.
The article refers to them as mini-discs, which they are not. Good to see someone else knew they were mini-DVD. And that mini-DVD-Rs exist.

Is it me or is RAM not important to PC gaming? I like to think increasing the amounts of RAM helps all-around performance.
Well, I guess that I had some of my facts wrong....

Uunforetunately, My budget likes the $400 EMachine 1.5 ghz (of sometihnkg like that) a lot more than even the entry level powermac at $1499
