It's like getting that rebate check in the mail... They say they'll send one... THey PROMISE! And then, a year (or 7 months) later, they really do send it! Yay!
The odds stay the same. Statistically, depending on how you look at it, 1 in 3 can never happen. You also have the chance of always winning, or always losing, or winning 2/3 of the time, depending on how lucky you are. There's no mathematical way to really explain it.
Unless of course, EVERY bottle was tracked, winners and losers, even those that go unclaimed. Then, you could get real odds in realtime, but that would probably require some sort of RFID. We're not there... yet...

Vietcong also came out with an expansion pack recently which adds a few new maps and I think a few new weapons, making this game even better... Plus, the coop mode in multiplayer is fun to play..

I was never *forced* to create a user... It always been *recommended* when I install linux.
I'm sure this varies in other distro's. but to say that linux (which to me encompasses all distros) forces a non-root user to be created is just not true.
I'm sorry, but after such large-scale security issues like Blaster and Klez, I don't think it's appropriate to give them any sort of improved marks. Sure, the patch might have been out.. But security is also about education.
to pump some harmless/oderless colored gas through the station to just see where it was spewing out of? Their hightech tools, although they did work, are still not 100% fool proof.
Neither is my idea, but hey, how long would it take to run a colored gas through and then clear it out? A few hours maybe? I don't know. What do you think?
One of the points brought up is about CVS... Personally, I'll have to agree with that. I know how to program, but CVS is just a concept I've never understood. I just never understood how to use it.
Regarding the other myths, I'd have to say that they are very good points. Some of them I'd agree with to a certain extent.
Its not a matter of usage to me.. Speed is important... Do you want that ISO about 12 times faster? If no, then why not just get a $10 a month cheap dialup... With download splitting/resuming, you could get it a lot cheaper, for 1/5 the price.
and in reply to your sig: if/. were to alloww editable posts, think of all the lamers that would get something modded up to +5, then edit the post to say something lame... Too much freedom to make things worse. just my opinion though
I respect your views and agree on most parts, but why go to an internet cafe? Stand up for the freedoms that you seem to back, and surf from home.
Unless you were just kidding.. Either way, I think everyone should go to the websites listed in the article. It's not illegal and the U.S. can't label all/.ers as possible terrorists.
Ok, you wanted me to have more backing, it seems...
"The US government announced that 49 countries are joined in a "coalition of the willing" to remove Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq, with some number of other countries expressing their support in private."
That is... lets see, only about 25% of all countries?
"Countries [that have] supplied combat forces directly participating in the invasion of Iraq: the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Poland. "
And 2% of all countries have sent troops over?
"On January 29, 2003, the European Parliament passed a nonbinding resolution opposing unilateral military action against Iraq by the United States. "
More countries for/against the war: http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldwide_government _positions_on_war_on_Iraq#Supporting_US_position "NATO deferred a decision on a U.S. request for assistance in a possible attack."
Where did people actually vote for a war? Also, 1 country (or 2 if you wanna count England) out of god knows how many wanted to do this war... Number of those that opposed > those that didn't.
I think it would be a nice gesture if you emailed HP to thank them for standing up to this crap. It's really nice of a company to actually support and back up their customers.
That would just make spammers into martyrs... Definately not a good thing.. Italy giving jailtime??? Thats a little crazy as well. But fines, as long as they actually work and are COLLECTED, is a good idea.

NASA said NOTHING about the costs... They said it is TOO risky to fix it. Also, they never said there wasn't good science coming from it.
And what are you talking about other crafts? The space shuttles are the main crafts that go to speace.
nasa shuttles
wired article that tells about hubble and reasons its not being fixed.
I don't think it matters though.. Didn't NASA already make the decision to cut Hubble?
