    dude, this is China. They won't determine how many copies he distributed. They'll make a guess, and that will be stuck to, and it won't be challenged. There is no rule of law in East/S.E. Asia, it is made up on the fly by the powers that be.

    I have to correct that. It's not as on the fly in hong kong, in fact it's not on the fly at all here. Hong Kong has her own set of laws under the 1 country 2 systems scheme since the handover.

    lmao. Then the dev's would've to translate that guilt thingy into all the languages :) Cuz if the dude doesn't know English or the culture has no resemblance of a "bastard", then it's of no use ;)

    For me at least, I don't mind saving US$3,055 off 3DSMAX while being called a sissy whore + decreasing the size of my e-penis once a day.

    I admire the CP on TOCA race driver 2 though, still haven't been able to find a crack and saw forums flaming on the topic still to this date. Might go ahead and buy that if they have a demo with nice force feedback.

    Btw, I buy games :) And very rarely do I buy commercial softwares but this one time buying InetCAM pissed me off.

    The time I purchased it was in 1999 and it comes with a free dynaDNS thingy. It turns out that when I checked back in in 2002, they've discontinued the original JAVA software and are no longer supporting it. So now I can't host my webcam + lost the dynaDNS account with them. *sop*

    They never replied my mails btw, I even sent them my invoice.

    I am still using my 8210 btw for the reason that I don't want any other extra shit on my phone. I just want a phone.

    Not against you btw, this brute force attempt by hotmail cracks me up. They deleted my valuable folders some time ago and I am kinda pissed. Except that I need my passport for the msn people, i don't logon much anymore.

    Yeah, though I agree to you somewhat. And since I have all the time in the world to read slashdot I am prolly not rich enough to get a ticket. Man I can't even afford a tercel.

    The thing is, since I am a coward, I prolly won't go no matter what; even if the price is $10. But there must be those rich bastards in the world who molest children for the same reason(s) as watching lesbians play mahjong.. they got bored of the yacht.

    That'd be one kind of "user" of this tour. But I agree with you if I were the one, I wouldn't do it cuz it's already a bit late to enjoy the earthly pleasures..

    Exactly eh, why would someone want a job say, as a web developer in such a company (or department if any) that obviously either:

    a. hires crappy web designers / developers to work with you.

    b. doesn't give a looney damn on your suggestions and intervenes at the right time just to fuck up your design.

    The resultant site as of now speaks for itself.

    "Think of how you're going to write 6 poems on different subjects in parallel".

  16. Re:Waste of time? on Nintendo's Iwata - Innovate or Die · · Score: 1

    Wasted? A moment enjoyed is never wasted.

    I am old but not as old as the atari dudes. Been playing since the XT days and the only consoles I own are the NES, PC Engine Core GFX, and later Dreamcast cuz of Crazy Taxi. And today I play every single PC game that I can get my hands on and pay for most of the good ones just to show support.

    While I notice how much time was "used" in the years playing games, I don't consider them being "wasted".

    I still remember the first great team play in TF1 and the silly red dot;
    Sam and Max that taught me corny jokes (me being a FOB);
    First time viewing Half-Life intro and never knew I could move the mouse;
    Planned and won a hostage mission on R6: Eagle Strike where the Tango's didn't fire one shot;
    The unspoken psychic-ness in SWAT 3 online to clear rooms;
    Landing a real-life freelance job from another character in UO;
    LMAO noobifying someone in CS:CZ with a knife and the shield.

    So yeah, for me, time wasted is more like eyeballing chicks on the bus during winter in my teenage years. But no, games don't waste time :P
