In Germany, content with nudity and some sex are not banned but violence is

That's exactly the point. There would be no nipplegate in Germany.
Whenever American friends come to visit here in Germany, they are surprised about the "level of nudity" you can see in public TV. You can see completely naked women in shower gel ads in the afternoon, but nobody would be shocked about that.
However, there is this tendency of some politicians to blame violent video games for everything that goes wrong with a young guy. I think this is stupid, but I know a lot of people who agree with these politicians.

The recent rise of China muddles the picture a bit, but when you consider China's ethnic diaspora in the countries of the north and south Asian Pacific Rim that were in large part former military allies of the United States things seem a bit clearer.

Not to me. What do you mean?

And yet, the advantages of globalizations have fallen primarily on Asian nations which are about as geographically distant from North America as is possible to be on the globe

I can confirm that. I'm still using my first CFL, an OSRAM Dulux EL (probably called Sylvania in the US), which my father bought more than 15 years ago! It is really ugly, my cousin called it an elephant's tooth, but it does its job (first as my desk lamp, now in the living room, hidden in paper). I also remember it was very expensive.

Busch and Budweiser are American beers. I'm sure, most catholic Italian gamers won't be offended (their grandmothers might be, but then, it might be cool to buy something your grandmother tells you is made by Satan). Like a Beatles record.
In advertising, there are many ways to draw somebody's attention. The use of religious symbols is one (and boy, it did work this time!). Others are pictures with sexual or violent content. Of course, there are many others.

You might think the use (or abuse) of religion not appropriate in this context. Okay, that's an opinion. But don't be insulted by a silly ad.
