The part about repeated use is very true. The first time I went to a local Century Theater, the stupid advertisments they play at the first of the movie ( not the pre-views, these are local ads) had been run threw one to many times, the quality was VERY bad, and looked terrible. I was upset, untill the movie started, as I was afraid it would look just as bad. The movie looked fine. These are projected from seperate projectors, and you could tell the ad projector needed a cleaning, as there were hairs, or something, on the lens causing bad picture quality.
This is a little off topic ( mod it so if you wish) but How long will the 9 digit SSN hold out?
9 digits will give you 999,999,999 combinations, or 1,000,000,000 if you count 000-00-0000 as a valid SSN. What happens when we reach 1 Billion people? Right now we have 293,027,571 ( estimate by CIA for July of 2004). But this could expand quite quickly.
Will we have to over haul the numbersystem? or start adding letters?

The tank I carry around weekly on my paintball gun is under 5000psi of nitrogen pressure. This is not 10000psi as you stated nor is it hydrogen, but still quite a bit of pressure. It has hit rocks, bunkers, and various othr hard objects and still passes hydro test. These tanks are tested above and beyond what they are rated for. I belive a 3000psi bottle is tested to 5500psi before it is sold.
Damn, forgot to add the best guess the service manager had was that whoever swapped them, bought the sanyo, took it home, and brought back their apex for a refund.
Some may say this is dumb, but some stores like it, as the weight based system I have seen used ( walmart, HEB) help out with fraud. There are people putting home made UPCs on products, and the casheir does not catch it. With this system, each UPC has a weight in the database, if the weigt of the bag is off, it flags the station, and draws attention to you. First time I used one, I had a product that would notring up right. They opened the product ( dvd player) and it was not the model, not even the right brand. Someone swapped a cheper APEX for a Sanyo.
or you could do what what a dumbass in oklahoma did, and try to flush it in a urinal, get it stuck, and remove said urinal from the wall of the high school bathroom.
I have always thought some of these guys do it to draw attention towards their programming "skills".
They may do it in order to get a job later on working for an anti-virus company ( think of the retired burglars on that new discovery channel show " it takes a theif").
I hope this is not a flat rate tax, as the fuel tax is now. 5 gallons in a hummer and 5 gallons in a hybrid pay the same fuel tax. If this GPS BS flies, I hope Arnie does not want to charge the hybrid he same price per mile as the hummer. There should be weight classes in this pay per mile thing just as their are for the yearly registration.

Well, when you are getting paid by the government, they already have a paper trail.

How long would you have to shake the light to charge up some NiMH batteries?
Power over wifi does not work, it just pisses off the dog and makes the birds scream.
Shit its hard enough to keep one happy, why do you want to go and piss off two women?
You guys get front seats to the fireworks show.
Is christian science not an oxy-moron?

I can see a hundred terrorists dragging mile long extension cords, carrying microwaves into battle against the 802.11b dependant troops.
Humans can not show this either. We are 100% dependant on machinary.
Robots can not set up mirrors, collect rocks, and hit a few golf balls?

40 times 10 is NOT 4000. He said 400:1, which is very much beliveable.

I thought it was for Iraq's Freedom. Shit, I must have missed the memo this week.
NO! It stands for No Such Agency. Get in the van!
Not on a nokia. I have to hold each number down for 1.5-2 seconds to get a number. With predictive text, it is a LOT faster than entering numbers.
I am almost certain they have to pay the RIAA per download.
