I prefer dual analog on average, as it doesn't lead to a massive narrowing of game types. I'd be much happier if this thing had never been invented to be honest, there's more than enough FPS games on the PC to keep the religious kb/m people happy.
Hopefully it won't make FPS games on consoles a no-go area for people who don't really want to have to set up a fucking desk in their living room like some kind of sad twat.
Generally, you're talking about a 10-20% expansion, from the paid updates that I've seen. For people that have paid for it, it's great, but there's nothing stopping you starting a game yourself and simply not playing those maps. Online sessions are really not that big. The updates do not 'lock people off servers' at all.
For the case in point, the online portion is just co-op, and the cost looks like 10% or less. It's quite simple to join a game and agree not to play them, or start your own. Personally, I expect that uptake is quite low, in the same way that online music sales are low, but for big fans of a particular game, it's a fantastic treat to get a lot more at a low price.
Currently, premium Xbox Live content is downloaded so that you can play against people with that car, etc. but you will not be able to directly use it yourself unless you pay for it. With a bit of thought it works perfectly well.
Our Windows servers have reboot schedules and these are monitored via our enterprise management tools to ensure that the uptime is not too high. Not drastically different to checking the fuel gauge really. A bit obvious, I thought.
Since when was Linux running anywhere near as quickly on the Dreamcast?
Also, the fact that the Dreamcast happily reads CD-R's is another massive reason why it got Linux before the Gamecube ever did. It's still much less useful than the Xbox, as it's very expensive to purchase a network adapter for it.
Next week you'll wonder why all these IT admin jobs are being outsourced to India etc.
The Internet is fine as a resource if all you need to perform your task is knowledge regurgitation (maybe just following Howto's or whatever) but if you need to do something even a little creative you need to know about what you're doing first. Seems fairly obvious to me.
Several points that just don't add up here though. A console costs less than the extra CPU/Memory and graphics card power required to play the equivalent games on a PC. There is very little justification for that power for doing anything else. You could easily have a console and a very standard PC for less money (I do, a 533Mhz Via with 256MB of Ram runs Windows XP perfectly adequately).
Of course most games you play are FPS; you use a PC for gaming, there's not exactly much option!

Bullshit. He's hanging around in Mos Eisley, he's working for the Hutt's. He charges extra for avoiding Imperial's and takes a no-questions-asked job. Do you need some more? That's just what I can think if immediately.
That Blair didn't find any fault with anyone in the Manhunt case either, thanks to ELSPA and some common sense.
I've found KDE perfectly useable on a PII 333 Katmai with 256MB of Ram. The same can't be said of Mozilla or OOo though :/
Of course it does it by whacking the sensitivity right up, but then anyone who plays these games for longer than 5 minutes does that anyway.

80% of people using joypads = pissed off at mousers = kicks, bad karma = fun spoiled utterly

No-one would have known. I've got three Macs and I wouldn't have known. Thank fuck they switched to a major console.

Have you seen how many utterly pointless upgrades have been done over the years because of it?
Even if you find good fonts, it still lays them out in massive menus because they haven't been explicitly designed with decent ones in mind.
Minus the G5? I like the way you just threw that in parentheses there ;-)
Although it should be pointed out that Apple laptop memory is also user upgradeable. Not very easy on the iBook, but simple on the Powerbooks.
But then it is an Airport Express optically attached to my very nice AV system.

Nothing to do with the hard drive then?

But then I haven't played Driv3r....

It's still better though. *:-)
No, it's a cock-up, not a plot hole. You all want Greedo shooting first removed altogether, so how can it be a plot hole?
