. Telemarketer calls you in violation of the DNC list. 2. You inform them (and the FCC). 3. However, because of the call, they now have a "pre-existing business relationship" with you (Hey, they called you and you spoke with them, even if it was to go away, so there's a relationship there), 4. Now that you have a relationship, they call you at will. 5. PROFIT!!!!
The LA image is actually a single image, as far as I can tell. You're being confused by the curving streets and because the black items that look like buildings are actually shadows.
To be honest, PL/1 is one of the first languages I learned. It was the teaching language at good old wustl.edu, back in the early 80s (OK, it was PL/C, which was a PL/1 variant).
Also a long time ago in a Galaxy far far away, Microsoft released Word 5.1 for Unix. It ran under SCO OpenDesktop 2.0 (this was OldSCO). It also ran (not as well) under Interactive Unix SysV/386.
Back at UCSC in '84, they ran a couple of 780s and a couple of 750s under 4.2BSD (the *original* 4.2, from UC Berkeley, not any of these "modern" versions).
One of the 780s got up to a load average of 75, and one of the 750s had a load average of 45. The interactive response time was slower than molasses (and this was with a 1200bps serial connection), but... THEY DID NOT CRASH. They continued running without interruption.
Not to mention that it was Yoda who said it, not Spock. GP is mixing SF franchises as well.
Really bad Haiku
Don't post it on your website
It drives us crazy
I figured out why the editors post dupes! They want to nuke dupes, so they're waiting for Dupe Nukem Forever!
Even better:

The R&D on the space pen thing is an urban legend.
I took a second look, and you're right. The shadowing makes it look confusing (note that all shadows are going in the same direction).
I zoomed out, and there is an image stitch that goes right throught that image (you can see the blocking on initial zoom out).
The LA image is actually a single image, as far as I can tell. You're being confused by the curving streets and because the black items that look like buildings are actually shadows.
My favorite picture is this one
That Saturn V is one huge bird!
See this. (warning -- Flash animation).
And when you're asked "how come the DB is so slow", you won't have the math to do a Big-O time analysis of your DB search/access algorithms.
Has anyone else noticed that 1.0.5 still doesn't show up as an available update to 1.0.4?
Your VCR blinks 12:00! You have no Tech Honor! I should kill you where you stand!

Can I then be sued by Toyota because I chose to buy a Ford car instead?
Quite possibly, since a bus company is suing people who carpool.
Interesting. That link shows Win2K Pro SP5 as a supported OS.
No, it was Crewman Greene.
But Hawaii would allow a single good launch site for both equatorial and polar orbits.
Pardon me. VDB is the best polar orbit launch site in CONUS.
This is also why Vandenberg is the best launch site for polar orbit.
Launch south from VDB, and you're over the Pacific. Launch south from KSC, and you're over Miami.

CS135 anyone?
Younger minds can have novell ideas.
And Novell is into Linux, which we all know is a communist plot to destroy Patriotic Red-blooded American Companies(tm) like Microsoft!
This menace MUST be stopped!!!!
COBOL? COBOL???
Come on, use something a bit better...
Maybe SNOBOL or SPITBOL. And of course, there's always Ada83 or PL/1!

This was a port of Word 5.0 for DOS.
I'm sorry, but why should M$ or any company have to sell the job to a prospective candidate?
Because they cold-called him and invited him for an interview. Implication: "We know you're qualified, and we really want you to work for us."
We told them to "Ship the Enron documents to the Feds", but what they heard was "Rip the Enron documents to shreds".
It was all just a case of bad cellular.

I'm just a poor cloned Neanderthal. Your world confuses and frightens me.
