Its called word of mouth, and has been about since theatre was invented. Texts probably spread slower than people talking to each other, because it costs so much to send bulk messages to your 20 "closest friends" if you are on a pre-pay package (as most teenagers in the UK are).
Spammers have been known to use virii to run webservers for their FANTASTIC NEW MORGAGE so theres no reason why this couldn't be extended to pornographers. It still seems a very shaky defense.
Editor's note: Due to long answer lengths, we linked to the questions instead of running them directly here in order to keep this page from getting too large. This was an experiment. If you have comments or questions about Slashdot interview formatting, please email Roblimo.
Perfect Dark, Rare's last decent game, was released in 2000. Their Gamecube game (the starfox one) was in development since, and got released a while after the GC launch. It wasn't even a quality game. One game every two or three years is certainly not going to bolster a consoles sales.
I also subscribe to Gamespot for its video content, fark & penny arcade for its community.. what else.
If I think its deserving, and I get a perk, I'll pay.
Most routers and computers have built in support for IPv6, but its seems that nobody is willing to ditch the old numbers and just use their IPv6 equivalents.
what i was trying to do was show that if a user is paranoid about cookies then it is to their disadvantage.
logging in on every second page is not a desirable option for anything.
do you want to remember my password (uses cookies) (x) yes ( )no
Most forum software has the option to use/not use cookies (and as such sessions are passed through urls) so that shouldn't be a problem either for non-lazy coders.
Actually, scratch that, most websites will just ignore the law and get on with life.
A big flaw with windows update is that you have to get the whone 11mb per computer. Thats why I was linking to the redist version.
And its special because its attracting so much widespread attention. Perhaps the group released a press release to msnbc and the bbc;)
Direct download for 9.0b (not for nt4.0). Strangely it isn't on the main directx page yet considering the critical nature of the problem. Here is the technet article with patches for existing directx versions.
If you have to licence just about every form of DRM from a single company then damn I'm on their side - not because its a good thing but because many people will be discouraged from paying the potentially huge fees.
i use winamp in its smallest form always-on-top. i havn't used the mac version enough to be sure, but i didnt find an option to make it shrink very small
loads in mozilla. just gotta disable javascript.
i intend to make full use of the windows version of itunes when it is released (provided the formats play properly in winamp)

Being on broadband myself makes me a tad partial.
that is until you try to browse with all 5kb/s used up by the patching
Its called subscription.
Ok, its clearly one of those one-download-then-link-moves things. My bad.
Try the sample download in moz/opera etc - even spoofing user agent it doesn't work. That is until you copy the download url from the source.
1) no evidence
2) asking for payment (extortion)
3) stock prices++
4) stock selling
Even she thinks something fishy is going on.
SUCKERS. I really want to put some sort of useful comment in this post but that word just keeps repeating.
