  1. Word of mouth on Movie Industry Blames Texting for Bad Box Office · · Score: 1

Its called word of mouth, and has been about since theatre was invented. Texts probably spread slower than people talking to each other, because it costs so much to send bulk messages to your 20 "closest friends" if you are on a pre-pay package (as most teenagers in the UK are).

  11. Re:Lets not forget... on GameCube Production to Halt · · Score: 1

Perfect Dark, Rare's last decent game, was released in 2000. Their Gamecube game (the starfox one) was in development since, and got released a while after the GC launch. It wasn't even a quality game. One game every two or three years is certainly not going to bolster a consoles sales.

Most forum software has the option to use/not use cookies (and as such sessions are passed through urls) so that shouldn't be a problem either for non-lazy coders.

Actually, scratch that, most websites will just ignore the law and get on with life.

A big flaw with windows update is that you have to get the whone 11mb per computer. Thats why I was linking to the redist version. And its special because its attracting so much widespread attention. Perhaps the group released a press release to msnbc and the bbc ;)
