You KNOW that the only reason there is no video output on the PSP is because the Sony content masters are a separate division from the electronics division.
One has to protect the content at all costs, the other has to sell hardware with restrictions imposed by the content division. What fun it must be to work at Sony...
It's like all the DVD players they sold that wouldn't read DVD-R (even those written in Sony burners) a few years ago.
People DO want to run Windows, flaws, spyware, viruses and all.
Can you name something that doesn't have an equivalent on another OS? Maybe AutoCAD? I'm sure there is something with similar capabilities, but I can't name one. If people quit using Windows in other fields, I guarantee you would see those apps ported.
What about at work you say? Yes, an individual has no choice, but the buisness does have a choice and they tend to choose Windows and pay for spyware, lost time and virus removal.
If any other product was as bad as Windows there would be public outcry, lawsuits and bankruptcy.
Firefox is too much of a high-profile application and web browers are an easily hit target. IMHO, Apache and SSH among others, should be treated similarly. The risk factor is too high not to give them special attention.
The fact that the team wants everyone to keep Firefox updated is just quality control and looking out for the end user. They may have regressions occasionally, but they are trying and it works more often than not.
Ok, you got me there, so maybe it isn't framerate.
But the point is still the same: From a projector, I see a blur. At home, I can see action scenes.
It doesn't matter if it's from a cheap VHS on a 19" TV or the DVD player on my 52" HDTV.
Maybe the digital projectors are better about this?
I'm in a bad position in this case. I'm a video editor, so I have trained myself to be acutely aware of problems in video. I have to catch problems in order to make a living. I also play FPS games which tend to make you very aware of framerate and clarity.
It may be similar to audophiles who can't listen to cheap radios comfortably.
Starting with the one I haven't seen posted yet...
Action movies today are too fast for 24fps film. With all the fast motion and cuts, it becomes a blur. Those few extra fps on DVD with a clear TV completely blow away a projector. It is a whole different movie at home.
TV's got bigger while movie screens got smaller.
Home audio is better and you have a freaking volume control.
People get imposed upon while the MPAA looks for cameras.
The quality of movies has declined. What happened to many great movies per year? As it is, even Stealth will win awards this year just because it was released.
If you muct run commercials, run them BEFORE the movie is scheduled to start, while people are comming in. We paid for a MOVIE, not a commercial.
People are RUDE in theaters. STFU! Theaters should enforce this and remove people who ruin it for others instead of looking for cameras.
The pricing for food and drinks is crazy. It is a long time well known joke.
Modding down the only people who TRY to RTFA?
The URL is WRONG
Mine gets 70 MPG (city), that's almost twice as green as a hybrid and still seats two.
Almost any non-show motorcycle that isn't 20+ years old is more efficient than the average hybrid car.
It wasn't me, but some people refuse to mod funny because the poster gets no karma for it.
That's why you get underrated, insightful, interesting, etc on funny posts lately.
There is a reason for safety glass.

Now that's funny.
Mac isn't the expensive route when you factor in buying anti-spyware, anti-virus, OS reinstallation, etc.
Linux isn't for everyone, it costs lots of time and has limited applications. (I'm a Linux user 90% of the time BTW)
If you like Windows, atleast change the damn browser and email clients.
I agree that it's a Windows only problem and easily fixed.

So suck it up. It's the users fault.
You do it by choice.
Use any other OS and it won't happen.
In the first screenshot the Media Player has different close/max/min buttons than all the other windows.
Haven't they learned anything from X?
Mixing widgets is bad UI design.
They stopped doing polls weeks ago.
If you shoot them in the right place, they won't be turned on again.
I agree with the Firefox team.

Those hypocritical Christians again! Making trouble for the rest of us.
Don't they know the 11 Commandments? Thou shalt not infringe!!!!
Linux works great, but you have to recompile for every little change to the system.
Notice how on most OS's you can own a CD of an application and just install it? Because there are STANDARDS! That's what hurts third-party support.
Flexibility is good, but if they would make a usable standard and stick with it, we might not have to worry about recompiling so often.
I still want folders. The mass of mixed up emails kills me.
It's still useful to manually separate information without searching each time.
Other than that I love Gmail.
How thick is the wall?
Come on, I can't figure out what your trying to say with insufficient information.
By eating cows I'm doing my part to rid the world of greenhouse gasses.
I agree. They look great on paper, but they aren't worth it.
Way back I had the Abit dual Celeron board. Worked fine except for the horrible Ultra66 controller that was one of my biggest reasons for buying it.
Bought a k7a something or other, that died shortly.
Bought one of their first Nvidia chipset boards. Returned one DOA, one died within a day, tried one more DOA board and gave up.
Had one of their Max legacy free P4 boards. That lasted a few months.
No more Abit for me, thanks.
It's for kids dipshit.
Fuck over Fuddruckers all you want, but those kind of pop-ups should never be targeted at children.
Better start on a tiny C compiler first.

Overclockability?
Don't think that's high on the list for SMP systems.
I agree. Those suck.
The worst post here is funnier than the best of that lot.
