IMHO The difference between stealing IP and creating a new product, in this case, is the fact that Real reverse engineered Apple's product to make theirs compatible with the iPod. If Real actually took the time to create/modify theirs and hey look, this new version works with iPods, then everyone would be happy. Or even better, Real could ask Apple, hey we'd like in on the action too and we think it'll help out your sales as well. That's a little more accepted than, let's take it apart and figure out how to break it.
I hate to admit to doing this butt...
A company that I used to work for was pretty stingy with their pennies. We had 30 some Sony laptops for the salespersons. One got dropped off the top of a beer cooler (walk-in type, not the one you take to a park) and smashed it real good. Sony wouldn't repair the parts because it had been dropped (misused). So I bought a new LCD screen for it, then put the system board and hard drive into another sony laptop with a non-cracked case and sent that one in for repair by order of my boss. They replaced the parts, which I put into the dropped laptop and with some glue, was good as new.
Why is it that the "Percent needing repairs" for servers was higher (28%) than desktops (17%) and laptops? (19%) I thought servers were supposed to be built more reliable with higher quality parts than a desktop? If I want fewer rapairs I should be using an eMachine (13%) for a server instead of a Sun? (38% ouch!)
Maybe they would introduce a bug that takes the fractions of a penny that are rounded off when computing interest in banks, deposit it into their own account? Like in Superman!
will cause a health hazard for the next 100-300 years
The half-life of Pu-238 is 88 years, Pu-241 is 14.4 years, but Pu-239 is 24,000 years... I'm sure soneone on slashdot knows nuclear science better than I, so let's hope it's not that nasty stuff.
IMHO the blame should fall on management. I work in an office that supports 400 users, small potatoes compared to the Chicago Tribune, but even we have a back-up server. Even if that fails, we can reload everything in a few hours from tape.
IBM is still a $90 billion a year company. There was no IBM "fall". They are still very much alive and kicking.
Try telling that to the 1000's of people IBM laid off in the mid-80's to 90's. Sure, they're making a comeback NOW, but then was a completely different story.
Cut down the sensors so they look less obvious, dress in your favorite gang colors and run through the streets and Wal-Mart with your friends. Unless you were looking for combat realism, then nevermind...

In Soviet Russia, processors perform abysmally.

Does that redefine the term P2P network - Planet to Planet network?
Ok here goes
When the feds raid your house, you can eat your data!
I wonder how many TB a Big Mac is?
1. Eon - noun, the amount of time that passes between releases of Duke Nukem.
20 years to get rid of the bugs.
It should be working by time Duke Nukem Forever Online is released.

That's like a week's salary to them.
Just think of how many outsourced programmers from India they could hire for $20 million...
Isn't the term 'Virtual Reality' so 90's?
But more importantly, is that glove machine washable? Just curious.
Does that mean I'm illeagle? I can hear the copyrighted music in my ear and (very badly) reproduce it from my mouth.

Kould Korn Kreate the startup sound?
After they retire from their Kareer, SS won't pay enough, so they will need to get a part time job at KMart in order to pay for winters in KanKun.
IMHO they need to stop spending $20 million per movie for Ben Afleck to suck and use the money on good writers to come up with better plots.
Step 1: Buy a G5 Mac.
...and the pilot (yet to be announced)...
Do you think it will be Lance Bass?
