I think Micro$oft is using this as a why of stopping linux hacks on the xbox. If this runs windows, then it probably needs windows to run the games on it. If you wipe it out and put linux on it, no more running console games. Now you just have an expensive linux box when you could buy a emachine for $200 and get the same results.
I get a lot of food and gift certificates for restaurants for setting up the network at my son's private school. Maybe they think I don't eat enough since I'm a skinny computer geek...
I have Charter, and they won't do anything for me because I use Linux. Even if all the lights are off on my cable modem and I use a router/firewall. So now when I call, I just tell them I have Windows... I feel so ashamed, but it's the only way to get them to fix their end.
In the days of Windows 98, you could put a Ghost image of your system on a bootable cd and just re-image every few months. I don't think you could fit an XP installation on 1 CD, DVD probably would work. That way all your driver's and apps could be already installed.
I don't get any worms on my Linux system... strange...
My experience as a technician in the business world is that spy war should be more of a training issue than a support issue. The users at my office know they are going to get chewed a new one if I find bonzi buddy and the like on their computer. Our company has a very strick policy about installing software on their computers. Our firewalls and proxies block most everything, plus we don't give users administrative rights to their computers. I rarely find spyware any more, except on the occasional old win98 pc. Companies need to let IT departments get tough on users, instead of bending over backwards for them. I guess that's why I like working where I do.
I think they need to find some hot astro-babes. Then more people would watch the internation space station cams. More people watching means, higher ratings, higher ratings means more money from sponers.
That's an easy one... Good robots are expensive to build, take a lot of maintenance to keep them happy, and frequent trips to the store.
That sounds like a woman to me. And no, I am not single...
There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Castle Smurfenstien!
Make them be on the end of a 1-800 support line for computer illiterate people to call to get *their* virus removed.
a beowulf cluster of PCs running Windows...
We will need a new unit for measuring the speed of Windows clusters: BSPS = Blue Screens Per Second (smaller numbers are better)

that would better track which developers had handled source code contributions.
To find out who's naughty or nice.

Does this mean that we'll start calling bigger, older computers grocery getters?
What do you do if your Grandma gives you one as a gift? Or worse... your uncle...
I had one of those once, it left some dark matter in my boxers...
the equivalent of $3.42 (U.S.) per hour.
If I play 20 hours a day, I could be raking in almost $500 a week...
One of our company's Dell systems with XP Pro and all the patches has 4.46 GB used on the C drive, with no apps installed.

I can see it now...
Jerry: And now the results of the DNA testing... Linus, you are... not the fater!
Linus: You slut! I knew it. F**k you! [throws his chair back and walks off the set]
How about some gooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllld?
...recent legislation has made it more widespread.
They've been shoveling bullshit to us for years.
Then all you gotta do is ask the person for their LIN number and you know everything about their distribution and release!
Like how to hack into it's security flaws? SSH...
...released a poll showing that the majority of Americans trust those machines.
Majority of Americans? or majority of Americans who bothered to fill out the poll while they were voting at an e-voting machine?
